I actually had a situation recently where I ordered like 5 functional amiibo charms from this decoden site because I wanted to get some cute villagers in, and when I sat down to figure out who should move out, I discovered that 4/5 of the amiibos I ordered were Normal, and 4 of my current villagers were ALSO normal apparently I have a type!
I'm trying to diversify a little (I only have 3 masc villagers after all, I'm sure I could squeeze a lazy in there if I really tried...) but it's so hard to say goodbye to anyone at all!
Yes! I'm in the same boat. There are so many normals I like. It's a combination of the designs, voice, and dialogue. I only have 2 right now, but I will have 3 soon and possibly 4 at some point.
After playing the game long enough, I've found all dialogue becomes repetitive - even if I only have 1 of that personality type - so I figure I may as well just go for the villagers I like.
I had 3 normals at one point and the dialogue got really tiring. Once I was at a point where all three of them said the same thing in a row when I went on my morning rounds to talk to them. Gayle moved out, so now it's just Poppy and Flurry
I only have 3 normal villagers: Pekoe, Mitzi, and Margie. There have been more normies I almost moved onto my island but I really want the diversity of villagers for reactions and diy's! I plan on letting Mitzi and Margie go whenever they ask to leave (looking for Genji to replace one of them), and keeping Pekoe :')
If I was gonna have any other extra villager types I love the uchi's! <3
i’m a ho for normals as well. I currently have 3 and if I didn’t care for personality types I would probably have all normals. they have the best aesthetics!!
i only have 2 normals currently but my dream lineup will leave me with 3. the normals are my favourite personality so this definitely won’t be too much for me. i had 3 smugs at one point, though, and with them being my least favourite personality, 3 was way too many for me lmao
Do what feels right! At one point I had 4 Cranky villagers and recently it felt like it was too much, especially since 3 out of the 4 were the same species. If dialogue wasn't as repetitive I would have all Cranky or Smug villagers.... I guess I really like their design lol
I think a lot of normal villagers are super cute but their personalities are just UGH. I loved Skye’s design until I had her and she was so so boring I currently have Megan and Coco. I don’t really mind Megan but also find her super boring. Coco I love because so many people find her creepy but I find her so bloody cute especially when she puts her glasses on to read omg
I wanted all the personalities represented, and doubled up on normal and cranky for my extra spots. I would have taken another lazy, as there are a few I love, but I got Sally and Gruff first, who are original loves from ACGC, so that settled that.
Not sure I'd want more than 2 of any personality, though, but that's me. Some love it and should definitely go for it!
all my favs are cranky and smugs with 1 or 2 jocks and lazy so i'm boned once i get all my boys moved in but thats why i was probably just gonna keep whitney cuz i like her (reminds me of my best friend irl) and she keeps it fresh. also might replace one with sky to have more of a mix so it's not just 100% guys and one girl lolz. whiteny needs a girl buddy to chill with and laugh at us with or she might hurt her eye rolling muscle from our antics.
I had three normals at one point: Melba Nan and Rhonda. Rhonda moves out but I eventually plan to find Chèvre to go with Nan. And Melba is pretty permanent at least till I get her picture. I just adore Normals
This is one of my biggest problems. There's so many great normal villagers that I love and want on my island but I can only have max 2-3 at a time bc the repetitive dialogue really bugs me. They are very sweet, but it can get a little bland after a while.
