How much Normal is too much?

I'd say 11 normals are too many normals lol.

If you want a load of a certain type of villager and don't mind having to give up some of the other types to make room - go for it! Do what makes you happy. Fill your island with nothing but sweet girls who like to talk about baking and flowers.

I personally comprised a dreamy list that includes at least one of every villager type because I'm a bit of a completionist in that manner, but I've got two jocks and two lazies as duplicate personalities. My normal is Gayle and I would die for her.

Three is just too much for me, just like all of the other personalities.

I couldn't deal with more than one normal, I find them very dull. It's a shame because I find the normals to be well designed for the most part, but there's only so much I can hear about cooking and reading books.

I only have one normal, and that is Norma. She is really sweet and soft-spoken. But two would be enough of the same personality. If more, you will eventually feel bored with their dialog which repeats right after we talked to the other one. And the chances of getting duplicate DIYs will be higher.

That sounds fine to me! Personality types don't matter much to me, do what you like not what others think.

I have two cranky, snooty and sisterly villagers currently. I had about three normal and snooty villages at one point, but I have been letting them move out for other villagers. I think 3 was too much of one personality type for me, but I think 4 would be too much because you can't get one of each personality type that way. If you don't want one of each personality type and really love normal villagers I'd say keep all 4.

But I strongly recommend Bluebear, give her a try, I have her and love her so much it's nice to have new dialog after a while, you'll see

The only thing that bugs me with multiple of the same personality is the repetitive dialogue, as soon as I get all the villagers I want, I probably won't care about that though as they will be who I want and it won't matter as much anymore

I had 4 for awhile but had to let 2 of them go because I personally couldn't stand the repetitive dialogue and would just end up skipping dialogue with 2 of them a day.

But if you don't care about dialogue and it doesn't get old to you, then do whatever you like.

I’d say if ya love them then keep them! I had 3 crankies at one point. I let go of one so I could have a full set of personalities at all times.

I used to have 2 normals, Pekoe and Flurry. I didn’t really think their dialog was that repetitive and I actually enjoyed having them around (because let’s face it, normal type of villagers are usually the cutest lol)! had to let them go though pekoe because Raymond wanted her place and Flurry because I already got her photo. My current normal villager is Poppy and I’m considering adding one more (or two!) once someone else leaves.

I had two uchi and two peppy on my NL town and even that was too much at times because I'd talk to one and the other would regurgitate the same exact line. With how barebone responses are in NH, I'd say it'd be even worst. Yeah you can keep talking to them until they say something different, but I tried that method and it takes way too long for it to be remotely fun. Sometimes you have to really force yourself to slew through that sameness.

I currently have 3 Normal (Maple, Lily, and June) and working on inviting Pekoe and Poppy at some point through their amiibo cards. That's a lot of normals tbh, but I couldn't be bothered cos they're all so cute!

Their repetitive dialogues doesn't really feel that repetitive as compared to the other personalities for me so I'm fine with them.

Jocks, on the other hand, I really notice their repetitive dialogues... I have 2 right now (Poncho and Bill) and they often say the same exact dialogue when I talk to them side by side. :\

I don't like having more than 2 of any personality but for normals I can't have more than one. I just don't like their dialogue as much as the others so I'd get bored of it fast.

I currently have 2 normals (Nana and Margie), 2 smug (Chadder and Zell) and 2 cranky ( Roscoe and Wolfgang).
Nana and Margie aren't as repetitive as they use to be, but it seems like the smug and cranky boys are getting MORE repetitive.

I have four normals currently, and I love three of them so much that I doubt I'll let them leave. (Will definitely NEVER let Nan leave, she's so cute and my island grandma.) But it's just a little TOO much for me currently, so, the one I'm not THAT fond of has to leave at some point.

Honestly I don't think I'll ever get rid of the normals I have. I find them to bee super sweet and they're never confrontational. I think If I was a villager, I'd be a normal too. I have far too many peppys and if anything, their dialog is more difficult to stomach.

I feel like Normal is the best personality to have multiples of and a lot of them are super cute so I'm planning to have 4 lol. Currently I have Fauna/Merengue and they don't feel too similar while Chrissy/Apple does but I can't part with either so I just accept it and so did Stitches/Erik so I let Erik go.

I feel like multiple Normals get a little bland imo. It's the same with multiple Jocks.

Then again, I want like 3 (4?) Smuggies and 2 peppies so idk
