How much Halloween celebrating are you doing in your game?

Just the Halloween party in NH, my island is a big mess so not much Halloween decorating for this year.

I have to say early into October right when the update went out I was super into it. Then as the days went on I felt like I did too much too soon and began wearing regular outfits again and wasn't too focused on decorating for Halloween. I think personally I'm in Christmas mode now, for some reason I feel like Halloween was like two weeks ago even though it hasn't happened yet!

That said, this week I'm attempting to get myself back in the spirit. I'm excited to collect all the candy I can get my hands on and can't wait for Jack to show up! As for decorations, I'm too lazy to put anymore out than I already have!

I haven't done a whole lot of Halloween preparations, other than buying candy every day and getting the non-Halloween night exclusive recipes from villagers with both my main and alternate characters. I did some light decorating throughout my island -- admittedly, mostly to use up some harvested pumpkins and free up some storage space.

Personally, I'm more focused on catching all the bugs, fish, and sea creatures that will be leaving at the end of this month. My S/O and I will be doing this for our alternate characters of each other. So looking forward to catching the two pier fish (Giant trevally and Mahi-mahi) again. *cries internally*

I don't celebrate Halloween, but I do love Autumn and pumpkins, apples, etc.! I have a pumpkin patch and some apple trees with a stand if that counts? I do buy candy each day for the villagers/Jack and so I can finish getting all the items and DIYs just for the sake of completing it all. I'll only be actively dressing up and doing things with it in game on the actual day, again, to finish the storyline experience and get all the items/DIYs and make my villagers happy because I love them lol. <3

I'm most focused on the fact I'm re-doing the residential area for my villagers right now. I have my shopping district all set like I want, but now I'm questioning what I want to do, yet again..! lol

I've been super busy with school (and still will be when halloween comes around rip) so I can't really do anything major, but I've been going on when I remember to buy some candy and grow some pumpkins! I will for sure be doing the event on halloween itself, but my island isn't particularly spooky - only my house is, and that was purely for the tbt halloween event!

The only holiday decorating I've ever done in previous games is put up a Christmas tree in my main room ... Never more than that. Now, though, I'm really in the decorating mood !! All outside for now though, my gamegarden is all decked out for Hallowe'en and I have a few other random bits scattered around the island ... I've even dressed up !! I'm really looking forward to the main event !!

I love love love halloween I think it's just gonna be spooky all year on my island (except for spring or maybe valentine's when everything is pink lol but idc about anything else)

The more I think about it, I’m actually thinking of keeping a portion of my island in Halloween spirit all year. The decorations are really lovely. I wish we could put the garland outside though!

I have a number of pumpkin patches, and have decorated with the available decorations (though, there are still some I haven't got DIY for yet). Aside from that...I don't really know how to "celebrate" until the day that Jack shows up. I mean...we had that bunny for like an entire month. Least they could have done was kept Jack for a week.

I am not really celebrating much at the moment as I have collected all the items and DIYs I am just waiting for it to be Halloween in real life so I can go and play the 31st in game to go trick or treating as where I live no one does it

Same for me, I haven't really been playing as much as I was the first week or so. I also caught myself humming Christmas songs earlier today lmao

Since I'm currently redesigning my island, I only have some decoration outside as well as few pumpkins planted. I will definitely check out the in-game event on the 31st then. Halloween is not such a big thing here where I live, but I do enjoy it in-game a lot actually (especially for the Halloween themed items, clothes and such).

Because I've been working at a haunt attraction this month, I've hardly had any energy to play as much as I'd like (or decorate in real life, either).
Still, there are steadily increasing amounts of pumpkin items all over my island, and my excitement is still increasing. I've been wearing a witch hat all month. I'll have to mess with my Switch's clock to actually be able to participate in the fun, since I have to work Halloween Night, but that means I'll get to celebrate on my birthday, so I'm not too upset XD
Speaking of which, I did finally get some IRL decorations up! Sure, it'll only be for about a week, but it makes me happy, and that's the important part.

I'm doing the event to complete it, but not bothering with decoration or any real sense of celebration. I think it's funny how my villagers are commenting on there being so much spooky decoration when I have almost none.

I'm gonna hope Christmas/Toy Day will be fun, though. Will probably be a little more enthusiastic for that.

Well, I have my entire island decked out in pumpkins. Every villager has their own candy bowl outside their house. Even the campsite has a candy bowl. I have at least 3 pumpkin patches plus some wild pumpkins growing. I'm decking specific islanders out in witch outfits and witch hats. And I've dressed up as something different every day of the month so far.

I love Halloween!

After years of being a New Leaf veteran alas I won't have any Halloween decorations, or chance to celebrate, as I bought ACNH and Switch a couple of days ago and am on holiday for a week.

I'd take the Switch with me but my twins would just argue over it. Being grown up sucks at times lol

Eh. A little. We don't really celebrate Halloween in my country either, although lately it's been getting a lot of attention for some reason. My friends and I used to watch some horror movies on Halloween night and sometimes 1 or 2 kids would come by the doors.

I do like the items from AC so I have been decorating the island, but mostly just the main area so the entrance / town plaza / pumpkin patches and my own garden. I haven't really decorated the villagers houses for halloween. They still seem to enjoy it because they often mention how the halloween decorations are taking over town lol!

I have planned to celebrate in-game with a few IRL friends and close online friends! I might also make an airport thread for members to visit and hang out as well, but I'm not sure if I have the energy/time to that (plus no one is online during my time zone ) I've already played a bit of halloween on my friend's island so I'll likely just mess around and take photos with friends and call it a night. I've planned a lot of outfits for this lol.

I haven't played AC in over two months and only started again yesterday. I bought two pieces of decorations so far (one yesterday, one today), two pieces of candy and I planted around 60 pumpkins. I don't think that I can do much at this point, even though I'd like to. From what I've seen, the Halloween decor is a little underwhelming anyway, at least for my tastes. I was hoping for items I could use for my Gothic themed island, but what I've seen is very Halloween specific and doesn't really go too well with my aesthetic.
