How much do villager's interiors really matter to you when choosing villagers?

Anyone else like me and straight up not care at ALL about a villagers home interior? I mean some weird design choices were certainly strange, but it doesn't really bother me. I spend next to no time in my villagers houses, I'm always surprised to see people put thought to their homes interiors.

I'm fairly picky but If I like a character enough (which is like, maybe only 3 or 4 people lol) I won't really care if their interior is bad or don't fit the theme of my island.

i do think julian's is really cool but if it wasn't, that wouldn't stop me from getting a unicorn lol

i like to gift my villagers things so their houses are all a mess anyway

I'm a little mixed on this. They are not the biggest factor in who I moved in, but it is nice walking into a home and seeing pretty furniture. Honestly though, if I really like the villager I don't care if their place is fancy (Cranston), a specific design (Raymond) or simple but harmonious (Mitzi).

I don't really care about what my villagers' interior look like as long as I like their design and they have the vibe I'm going for with my island but I do care about making their interior intact and as original as possible tho lol that's what I care about in terms of their interior but other than that, no not really...

Well only with Phoebe I was first like "what is this?". But then realised she is ofcourse a phoenix... so now I kinda like it because it just fits. Only don't like her camping bed so I crafted a bed for her and give it a red touch and yellow sheets with red clouds. Only problem is she just placed it instead of replaced it haha. Just not a fan of the camping stuff in a house.

That said... after a while all houses will be a mess. "Hey is that a seabass?! I'm looking for that for a while"... well yeah I want your picture so here's the fish. And there you go: ugly interior :')

I generally don't really care about the villager houses. But I was considering getting Billy, bit his is the one house I cannot get over. He lives in trash, it's so sad! Now I am going for Kidd as my goat villager

For me personally it matters a lot! I’m not sure why though, I guess it helps build personality for the villager? For instance, I wanted both Roscoe and Static on my island but decided to keep Static only because they had such similar interiors

If I love~ the villager then their default interior doesn't really matter to me (kabuki, coco, Julian, raymond)

For the "filler" villagers, I took into account their home interior and exterior if I was stuck between two or three of the same personality... which is why I have Agnes instead of Tammy. lol

I put way more weight on villager interiors than I really should, to be honest. That said, their exteriors are pretty meaningless to me - at some point I'll just find a door decoration I think is fitting and that'll be the end of me even noticing their home designs.

i’m really picky about it! i’ve passed on some villagers i like aesthetically (june, mira) purely because i didn’t like their interiors. exteriors play a lot into my decision too o:

I don’t care to be honest. The only thing that bothers me is when the stuff they were gifted is all over the floor.

It matters a little. I won’t dislike a villager because of their interior, but sometimes it gets me interested in a villager I wouldn’t be otherwise. For example, I didn’t really care about Julian until seeing his house!

I do care about keeping their interiors more or less intact though. ><

Not at all. Of course, I'll definitely be more excited to move a villager in if I find out that their interior is awesome, but I also almost always end up destroying it at some point with my poor gift choices. I definitely care more about their house exterior. I care about that more than the villager themselves sometimes.

Personally, it doesnt really matter to me, tho nintendo really did us dirty by having ‘starter/basic’ housing interiors for our first few villagers.. im not a fan of that! i think as long as the interior matches the personality of the villager, thats all i can ask for! tho, in my opinion, the housing exteriors for some villagers can be very ugly, for example stitches ... eeek....

for the most part villager's interiors don't matter to me at all (unless we're talking about the starter houses because then they have to go). the only thing that really annoys me is how sometimes villagers display stuff i gifted to them in weird spots in their houses... i regret selling long locust to audie because she, obviously, had to display it for everyone to see and i die inside every time i see it.

I used to think I didn’t care but I do plan on giving Rudy a punching and speed bag so it looks a little more sporty in there haha. They’ll go well with his airplane walls.

Would I kick someone because they had a starter house? No, villager > house imo.

Would I not like someone bc of their house? No Hornsby and Gaston will be living with me at some point, I just need to give them “nicer” items with they do!

it doesn't bother me. usually gets destroyed by all the fish and bugs i give them ; p
