So, in perusing the forums I've noticed several people with more than one- even more than two- towns. I admit I've contemplated purchasing another game to give myself a second town, mostly to try out different landscaping themes and ideas.

I'm curious about what made everyone else decide on having more than one town, though.
What do you use them for?
Is it worth it?
Etc, etc!
Please feel free to share! (:

I have one. I really like the idea of having a second game to use to help my in my first and to cycle and stuff, but with only 1 3DS I feel like there'd be no point :c

I have...four lol. I have so many ideas for different towns. I play each one as much as my first I got.

One. I want another but I feel like buying a second game would be unwise.

I've been holding off on buying another one for a while. I hate spending money, but I'm always hit with new ideas or things I want to try in a town that won't suit the one I currently have.

I have 2, Neo Mercury and Anur Transyl. I like having two.

What made you decide on having two?

I only have one. I wish I had 2, but don't have the money for it. If I were to get a second one I'd probably cycle. Or make a horror town, or a regular town, but I'm probably too lazy to redo all that stuff.

I only have one, but when I have the funds I plan on buying another town because I want a Rooster Teeth themed town.

Oi, yeah :( I didn't think of that. I'm not sure if I'd use a second town for cycling, though- I'd probably just screw it up xD.

That's mainly why I'm considering a second one!

I'll probably be too lazy to work seriously on a second time, or just won't have the time.

I don't know what that is, but I really like themed towns!

I currently have two, but once I set up my second town I'll be getting a third copy.

I think if i do get a second town I'll wait until my current one is set up. I can't imagine trying to work on two at once as thoroughly as I have for just the one x_x

I had more dreamies, and wanted to focus on making my second town neat and presentable, while Celadon would be more laid back.

I have so many dreamies ;; I want everyone.
I also saw somewhere a town that had only the deer villagers, and I thought that was so cute. I might one day make a town like that.

What made you decide on having two?

I wanted to have a male and female Mayor. (Ami is a female, and Mayor if Neo Mercury. Zs'Skayr is male and Mayor of Anur Transyl)

I also had a LOT of other villagers I wanted that I had no room for in Neo Mercury, including Shari, Merengue, Tucker, and Stitches.

I had planned to wait a few months to get my second copy, but the day Kirby Triple Deluxe came out, my local game stop was having a 'buy one get one half off', So I decided to pick up a second copy of New Leaf as well.

There are a few other reasons, but those are three of the big ones.

I have 3 Towns. 1 is my original town, The 2nd was bought for my daughter. I have now taken over maintenance of her town. I bought 3rd (On Sale) for cycling which has now become regular town. But I have been considering buying a 4th so I can reset my daughters town. Hate the layout of her town. Her river is massive, then after moving all of her villagers to that town I will reset my 2nd town to a better map.

Oooh, that's super convenient! I'm not sure what New Leaf is selling for now, if it's still the same, but I've been hoping to see it on sale or cheaper at some point. I'll probably download it from the Nintendo shop, though, as I don't trust myself with two cartridges. I lose everything.

Ahh, that's so cute! Both of my sisters play, and the youngest hasn't really done anything in her town. I just want to work on it for her so badly xD

Only one. ... I love playing this game but this one town takes sometimes already so much time and I have so many other games I love playing too, so this one is really enough for me. That's why I don't think I will get another copy.

I have 2, second one was bought because my first town is almost complete, that is one of the reasons. Second reason is that I want to meet more villagers I like except the first 10 dreamies. My second town is filled with new dreamies at this point though. Furthermore I like to try out landscaping ideas that were not fitting into my main town, like small water ways and newly found amazingly done qr flowers.

The good thing about this game, though, is it's best played slowly and over time. So where I also play a lot of games and don't have a lot of free time between work, etc., I think eventually working on a second town might not be too big a time suck for me.
I hope so, at least ;n;

This is mostly what I want! As I work on Ivy Lane I keep noticing spots I wish I'd kept clear, or placed my Mayor house, etc. And there's also the possibility of resetting, but my current town has so many aspects and now villagers that I wanted from day one that I can't imagine losing them ;;

Just one, I'm too poor to buy another copy when I could just buy another game lolol
