Four. The first one was a slide phone with a keyboard, next a blackberry-style phone, then iPhone 5S, and now I have an iPhone 7. I had been thinking about upgrading to one of the iPhone 12/Pro/Pro Max models this year, but now I'll wait to see next year's model and situation. The reason is it's wfh and social distancing now, and I don't use my phone a lot at home or when I'm not hanging out with friends.

I've had 2! The first phone I had was an iPhone 6s and I believe I had that for 3 years before it kind of just started shutting down. I got my iPhone 8 about a month after my 6s shut down and started doing some really glitchy things. It still works, it was just time for an upgrade I guess! I've had my 2nd phone for about 2 years I think I'd say. I really like having a home button and not scrolling up and down to go to your home screen, which is what some of the newer iPhone models do that I'm not a huge fan of. I also thought that the whole "charger/headphone scared port" was kind of sketchy to just get you to buy AirPods, but I have put up with it for 2 years so I guess it's not that bad! I probably won't be changing my current phone unless something really bad happens to it.

I got my first mobile phone back in 2010, when I was in 6th grade (my mom was worried about me being in public middle school so she gave me a phone so I could call/text her). I've had four more since then, so a total of five:

Sprint Katana (2010-2011)
BlackBerry Curve (2011-2013)
Samsung Galaxy S/Epic 4G (2013-2014)
iPhone 4S (2014-2016, I hated this phone lol)
Samsung Galaxy S7 (2016-present)

the phone I have right now, the Galaxy S7, is perfect for me in terms of tech and accessibility (for instance, it has a physical home button and it doesn't have all kinds of weird and awkward screen features that newer phones have), and chances are I won't get a new mobile phone til this one poops out.

also didn't mention this since I assume you implied, in your question, how many mobile phones we've had, but I have three rotary phones as well, all from the 70s-80s. hoping that when I get my own place I can get a landline and hook one of them up. :)

I got my first phone in 02 or 03 I think. It was a big chonky Nokia. Then I had a tracfone plan for one but I'm not sure of the brand. I had loads of others throughout the years, some LG flip phone, a motorola razr (pink of course), LG Env2, a couple of ones I remember the shape of but don't know the brand, etc. First iphone was 4, then upgraded to the 6, 7, then went to the X, which is the one I have now! I'd guess I've had probably between 10-15 different phones in my life. Never broke one beyond repair I don't think, I mostly just upgraded or took phones from family when they upgraded!

I've only owned 3. I've never been into using cell phones when I was younger. My mom felt I should have one just in case, so I ended up getting one. Then sometime passed, I got a new one and had it for a few years. It went kaputt, so I got a new one about a year ago.

5 so far, today my phone decided to turn itself off at 46% and acted like it was at 0% so maybe I'm getting new one soon :I

sony ericsson w350i
a white green lg phone
samsung ??? turned itself off and couldn't be turned on again, didn't have a phone for a year T_T
another samsung
huawei p10 lite

I remember I had one of those Nokia brick phones back then and had the DBZ "Rock the Dragon" midi ringtone lol

Then I had a tiny Sony Ericsson when small phones were trendy. Had the Razr, LG EnV and tons of other Android phones.

Never had an iPhone and don't plan on it anytime soon.

Current phone is the S20 Ultra.

My parents didn’t allow me to own a phone until 7th grade. They read extensively about the risks of the devices and thought it would affect my safety. At the moment I’ve gone through four.

Hand-me-down BlackBerry: A flip-phone that used to belong to my mom. For a five year old phone it got the job done.

iPhone 6S: I got this one around when they were first released. Back then it was just an iPod touch with a call feature to me.

iPhone 7: I only upgraded because my parents wanted my iPhone 6S. It wasn’t too much of a change.

iPhone XR: My current phone. I love the battery, screen shape, and size. The discomfort I normally feel with mobile devices doesn’t even happen here. I’d only upgrade if this one gets damaged.

3. When I was 12 I had a webslider, then I got some cheap thing from the internet, and now I have an htc desire 626. I also had this bad boy when I was little

i had a flip phone when i was 8, got a samsung smartphone when i was 12 and after that i have had two (or three?) iphones. so 4 (or 5, but i am pretty sure it's 4)

I've had about eight phones in the last 12 years.

Kyocera So-Ho (? I believe that was what it was called) on Alltel
Samsung Hue on Alltel
Motorola flip phone (unknown model) on Alltel/Verizon
Samsung phone with a slide-up keyboard on Verizon
iPhone 4 on Verizon
iPhone 4S on Verizon
iPhone 5C on Verizon
Samsung Galaxy S7 on Verizon/Cricket
Samsung Galaxy S10+ current phone on Verizon

I didn't break any of them. I was picky.

3 ✌

first was a secondhand iphone 5c, my dad was gonna get me a flip phone but one of my brothers mates had a mum wih an old phone, so I thankfully got hers instead.

then i had a samsung s7 on contract, it did well for what it was- awful storage though;;

now i've got an iphone 7, and it works for me. still getting updates and it has over 200gb of storage, which after my last phone is such a breath of fresh air.

4 in total, 3 different models.

I started out with a flip phone (which also functioned as a walkie-talkie which I loved) in 5th grade. I was by myself at home a lot, so parents decided I needed one early just in case.

When my dad destroyed his, he took over my phone and I was handed down my mom's old slide phone, it had a keyboard. It was a good fidget device too. lol

Once I entered high school I bought a used iphone5, had it for years until I accidently cracked the whole screen. I had it in my lap when I exited the car and it hit the concrete screen first. Was given my sister's old iphone5 afterwards. I rather keep the same model than fumble with newer ones; if it works, why change it?

I have been thinking about upgrading eventually, to one of those phones with a touchscreen and stylus. Would be nice to draw on the go.

Started off with a cute Samsung flip phone. It was so small and neat, loved it. Moved on to a few Samsungs, can’t remember model. Eventually got persuaded (nagged 😂) to get an iPhone. Sadly converted and on an iPhone XR. The camera is amazing 😍

Voting 6+.

My first phone was a hot pink Motorola flip phone at age 11. My mom had the same one. I only had it for cases where I went outside to play with friends in case I had an emergency and needed help. As a teenager I went on to have other flip phones, sliding keyboard phones, and then an LG was my first touch screen phone.

I truly don't know how many phones I've been through in my life. If I had to guess, maybe 15?

I've had two cell phones so far. The first one was a flip phone I got before high school years ago, and the second was a cheap burner phone I got for a trip last year. The first is long gone, while the second is still around here somewhere and I could theoretically use it again, but again, it's a cheap flip burner phone that just does calls, texts, etc. and couldn't do all of the other stuff we associate with cell phones now. Sometimes I feel like I ought to take the plunge and get an actual good, current phone, but thus far haven't had a real need to do so.

I've had six phones in the course of five years. My first phone was some Nokia Lumia 635 with Windows Phone. It had 8 gb of storage so I ran out of that a lot. My main issues with the phone were that it had a not so good camera and Windows Phone legit had almost no apps for it. The next phone I got was some Acer Liquid with Windows 10 Mobile but I only had it for a few days before I got some LG phone that was cheap and also had 8 gb of storage and a bad camera. That lasted a few months until I was able to convince my parents to buy me a better phone so I got a Moto G4. It was so much better than anything I had before. I had it for two years before the problems that suddenly came pretty much made the phone unusable (it would shut off randomly and couldn't really work unless it was plugged in, and eventually the charging port broke) so I just used a spare cheap Samsung Galaxy On5. It was not a good phone, very much like the others before but I got a better Samsung Galaxy after around six months and while it isn't the top of the line, it works perfectly for me and I've had that ever since.

too many tbh lol. i've got a really bad habit of wasting money on electronics, but i'm trying to curb that habit. i honestly think i've had more than, say, 10 phones in the last 6 years. hurts to think about that aaaaaa
