How lucky have you been Island hopping?

I used up 40 NMTs... and finally found someone (octavian) on my very last trip I relatively liked.
I didn't want to come back wasting all my tickets lol.

I started island hopping today in search of one of 4 Dreamies, Audie, Raymond, Beau or Apollo, I have currently visited 269 islands and not found any one of the 4. I think I might start crying in a minute,

How’s everyone else’s luck been Island hopping for Dreamies?

I wasn't keeping track but I did a little bit of island hopping to move in cute villagers early on in my game, because I was afraid of getting animals I disliked as random move ins, and I got Zucker rather quickly. Like I said, wasn't keeping track, but i don't grind out hundreds of tickets, so probably within 20 or so at most is my guess. People have said that the octopus villagers seem more common this game though. Which could explain it.

Hello! Question: will villagers appear if you have 10 villagers? or does a lot need to be vacant?

I've been lucky. Too lucky. I found Coco, Beau, Clay and Wolfgang in less than 5 tries. Octavian was like 10 tries. *looks around suspiciously*

Pretty lukcy. I have to about 20 mystery islands and have found Merengue twice, Apollo, Coco and Fang. I have also found some of my favourite villagers as well such as Ozzie, Bluebear, Pekoe, Apple, Daisy and Frita

Hello! Question: will villagers appear if you have 10 villagers? or does a lot need to be vacant?

You need an empty space for them to appear, sadly

some good a few bad nothing too terrible imo (except eggbert)

I got Bunnie and Tangy both on the first islands I went to and they are in my ultimate dreamies tier so that was pretty lucky! But I honestly don't go out island hopping looking for any villager in particular, if I really like the look of them I will take them, but if they are a dreamie, well that's a great bonus!

I've heard that is random, but for me, all of my free places were bought by random villagers in one day if I didn't island hop

I went island hopping for the very first time about two days ago. Wasn't expecting to find anyone in particular and didn't have my hopes up given the RNG of the game, but on my 23rd ticket I did find an unexpected dreamie and was caught completely by surprise. It was Carrie! I totally invited her

I was lucky enough to find Sherb on one of the first islands I visited! I invited him to live on my island immediately because he's adorable and I knew he was a new villager. The only downside to finding him so early is that his house has a basic cabin interior instead of the gorgeous blue interior he should have.

I think I have been quite lucky, from the islands I have found Stitches, Maple and Eunice who I really wanted in my town. It probably took about 25-30 tickets

I struggled the first time I went searching before finally finding Fang. The second time I went looking I got Julian straight away. Hope it goes that well next time I need someone!

extremely lucky i guess. i got raymond, judy, and audie under 100 tickets combined.

I've been lucky and I've been unlucky. Bam, Zucker, and Diana took about 8 NMTs total. Maple took about 20 and Coco took around 15? Then I went looking for Bunnie or Deirdre and spent 77 tickets and eventually settled on Fuchsia (who I actually find cuter than Deirdre now!) I did maybe sob a little bit (a lot) so I get how you feel ; v ;

My only dreamie is Bunnie, but haven't run into her yet. I did get Fang, Beau, and Coco from there and I absolutely love them. I did also get Marina in my campsite, but I didn't have the room to accept her.

You do know that even with 10 villagers you can still invite a campsite villager to move to your island? They just pick a random one of your villagers to boot

I didn't know about this until she left. But the one I heard was that a camper will replace the last villager who moved in and Fang was the last one to move in.
