I started island hopping today in search of one of 4 Dreamies, Audie, Raymond, Beau or Apollo, I have currently visited 269 islands and not found any one of the 4. I think I might start crying in a minute,
How’s everyone else’s luck been Island hopping for Dreamies?
I don't have dreamies but I did get Fauna, who I think is decently popular?
I don't think I've island hopped more than 20-30 times total before I got her.
I think I've been fairly lucky! So far I have used about 40 tickets (and several of them without looking for islanders, just rare islands) and I managed to get Merengue, Beau, Julian, Zucker, Zell and Octavian. Merengue, Beau, Zell and Julian being big dreamies! It usually has only taken me 3-4 tries to find any of my favorites, so I think I've just been bizarrely lucky lmao
I haven't found any dreamies, but I'm really happy with the villagers I've come across. I didn't think I would end up liking Roscoe so much and only picked him up with the intention of giving him away once he decides to move out, but now I'm not sure I want to let him go. Same thing with Chevre.
I never came across a villager I really wanted in whatever tickets I have used, but I did come across some more popular villagers such as Beau, Lobo and Diana.
I think I've been quite lucky! The first three villagers I came across were Merry, Zucker, and Skye and I love them all. I've also come across Merengue and Blaire!
my luck hasn’t been too shabby but it hasn’t been great, either. i’ve only found 2 dreamies (1 wasn’t my dreamie when i got him lol) but i’ve also found marshal who’s fairly popular so i guess that’s something lol
Hey, all of my dream villagers (Except Mira, Sprocket and Raddle) have been obtained by amiibo card. So the only lucky thing I can say about this is I got Raddle as my last villager on the island before I ran out of NMTs.
I'm aiming for Cashmere next, and I do hope to get her on the islands.
i went dreamie hunting the other day and ran into merengue on my first ticket! i was tempted to get her cause i love her but i still had 30 tickets to look for the ones i really wanted so i just kept hunting. i ran into fang, beau, fauna, octavian, zucker, and then molly on my last ticket who i kind of regret not getting but it's all good
I found Audie in 2 trips zucker on 5 trips found hybrid island twice, tarantula island once, I rarely island hop and when I do I normally get a rare island and call it for the day lol
Out of the new villagers, I did found Sherb, Audie, and Judy. I was looking for a certain cat and other villagers that I had in new leaf. I saw many of my beloved new leaf villagers, Merengue, Fuschia, Skye, Lolly, Rocket Kiki Pierce. I saw some fan favorites as well like Maple, Molly, Roald Whiteny Vivvian Marina Zucker Beau etc. I am keeping Sherb for sure I got him in less than 20 tickets. Audie I traded for 100 NMTs. I am not sure if I want to keep Judy because I just got Blanche and I love her ;-; one of my favs in my new leaf. Unfortunately, there is only one spot for a snooty in my island so one of them has to go.
I did pretty well the first few times I went island hopping a few weeks ago, got Fauna and Marina. But lately I’ve had poor luck with island hopping. I keep getting normal villagers when I already have four of them. The only decent villagers I’ve found while using roughly 200 NMT have been Sherb, Francine, and Merengue. Sherb is cool, and I’m glad to have him. But Merengue and Francine were ones I really just settled for.
I haven't had to do it, as I have cards for all my dreamies. Sounds like I made the right decision, considering time is money. I know, I know, it's a game. But spending $80 on 10 cards saved potentially hundreds of hours of time and frustration.
Aw hope your luck will get better with it!! Just keep at it you'll find them sooner or later or they'll show up some other ways!
Island hopping for me has been great! Albeit I've only done it like fivea times ive found sprocket who I didn't even know existed but i love him to bits now
I wasn't keeping track but I did a little bit of island hopping to move in cute villagers early on in my game, because I was afraid of getting animals I disliked as random move ins, and I got Zucker rather quickly. Like I said, wasn't keeping track, but i don't grind out hundreds of tickets, so probably within 20 or so at most is my guess. People have said that the octopus villagers seem more common this game though. Which could explain it.
