How long will these threads carry on?

There should be a separate sub-forum for all the haters to complain about villagers being ugly and stuff like that.

I don't want to sound like a nazi, but if they want to hate on villagers or pick fights with others who disagree, shouldn't they talk about it anywhere but TBT? They can complain about villagers on the blogs with comments disabled, but they shouldn't be creating hate topics or derailing threads to focus on liking/hating a villager. It could possibly provoke a flame war, and it would spell trouble. Moreover, those threads would be considered spam. A forum full of spam threads is not a good idea.

The short answer is, they will carry on forever! Its sort of like talking about your favorite baseball player, ones you dont like... You always want to find someone who has sympathy for the way you think.

While I see how the attention-seeking can get annoying (Especially when they're clearly going for it, in the case of most 'Why do people love Marshal?' threads.) but sometimes I see them as genuinely curious. Like, I did not know Julian was a unicorn, since I'd never had him, and was therefore really confused as to why he was so popular.

I think questions that are innocently asking why people like a certain character aren't inately attention-grabbing. Maybe they're looking for having something in common with people, either for or against a particular villager.

That said, usually, they are for attention. And usually I read them really excitedly, because of all the drama you mentioned, so..

Not trying to be rude, but I think most of the people will forget this thread so they will continue making ''Why do they like Marshal'' threads. And there are new members every day that will make more threads so I don't think it will stop. But that doesn't mean that I agree with you, people like Marshal and if you don't well. you don't have to cry in a corner of your house just continue your life. Or threads like who should I chose? I mean, it's your town you can decide..

and also, i hate it when people on here like "show off" how they have millions of bells! i mean... i do but i keep that to myself... i spend my bells by making giveaways for people that are new players or lost their town due to data lost.. i trust people to be honest but some are not always honest and that upsets me... anyway.. what is the point of "showing off" how rich you are in acnl?! it is very pathetic in my option... after all, it is fake money! it is not real!!

I agree with you 100 percent. I have no idea, but I hope not for too long. They are very unneeded and just clog up the ACNL board in my opinion.

To be honest, I don't really see how that is showing off, and I don't see anyone "showing off" their bells, either. Bells are very easy to get from this game, whether it be from the stalk market or beetle hunting. I have never seen a post or thread with someone just saying they have a lot of bells with no rhyme or reason other than to show off. I suppose there might be some threads where in someone posts that they reached like 100 million bells, but that would probably be their first time, so it's understandable.

Expect a thread like that to show up in a few days or week. Maybe I should make one titled "Who is the best villager and why is it Kabuki?"

And also people who ask questions that can be answered with one or two replies yet they still make a thread. The Ask ACNL Questions Here thread is there for a reason.
