While I was walking home I thought of making this thread 'cuz I was Hungary, so I went Russian to the kitchen to Czech the fridge, I found Turkey but there was Norway I could eat it because it was covered in Greece from frying in Japan (Bad puns are bad, please forgive me). But really, I think I went three days without eating once but on the third day I had half a slice of cheese then didn't eat anything else for five more days, so it was more like a week without eating. I felt awful on the last day, it hurt so bad to move. To be honest I haven't been eating well lately :P. It made me wonder how long y'all have gone without eating.

I participated in the 30 hour famine each year in high school. It basically goes from the start of school one day until the end of school on the next day. I got pretty seasoned to the actual feeling of real hunger by my last year of high school. Now in uni, if I'm working on something important for most of the day I will often just forget to eat for a day. But that usually precedes me remembering that my body needs food and then eating everything in sight.

I don't think I have ever gone a full 24 hours without eating... I don't think I could ever do that. I have to eat something everyday.

I guess the most I've gone without eating is around 14 hours.

I chose "one day," but the truth is probably closer to 15 hours. I even get hungry when I'm sick. In fact, no one wants to be near me when I'm hungry because I get angry, and act rude and grumpy. LOL

I can go for about 19 hours before I start chewing on something or someone...

What normal human can go without food for a week+ ?!?!?

I've gone without eating for more than a week before- it wasn't that I have a disorder or I didn't have access to it, I had a stomach bug and I couldn't keep anything down. :/

There's a jewish holiday called yom kippur where you fast from dinner from the day before to that days dinner.

I wake up every morning with hunger pains, and usually eat nothing until lunch at school, and I have last lunch, so that's a long ****ing time.

I very rarely go a day without eating. And that's usually if I'm sick or something.

I think it was around 40 hours. My dad has went 2 weeks and my grandpa has went a bit over a month consuming nothing but water.

A week and a half. Back in 11th grade I was trying to lose a ton of weight over the summer. Went from 140 lbs to 115 in less than a month.

What school would support that? That's not even cool.

I don't think I've ever gone past 12 hours. I don't cope well with the gnawing sensation of hunger. I can't even imagine how I would react if I ever experienced true starvation

Maybe it was a fund raiser or something? It sounds perfectly fine to me.
I'd guess it's so kids can realize how lucky they are to have food everyday. At least that's why most religious fast. They fast so they are more grateful for what they have/feel how it was like for their past religious people who had to go days without food.

Anyway, I've gone probably over a day. There a lot of times over the summer where I forget to eat, or just don't eat at all because we have no food.
