How long did it take for one of your villagers to suggest the Police Station?

As thread title says: How long did it take for one of your villagers to suggest the Police Station?

I have had my town since Christmas and have played more or less every day since then, but no one seems to want to suggest the Police Station. Is it just completely random?

I have also played my game since January 1st. Still no request, I think it is just random and someone will request it soon You could try the diving trick if you really want it.

Ive played since Christmas too. No one has suggested it.

It does appear to be completely random.. I started playing in June and it was one of the first PWPs I got.

It is random. My friend and I both got the game at release and it was several months before I got the request. She still hasn't gotten it at all. :c

I started playing the game in June. I didn't get it recommended until about October/September.

Try the diving trick too! That thing works so well.. I got like 2 or 3 PWP's yesterday

I got the game at launch and it took me until sometime in the fall to get the Police Station. Hang in there and keep trying! The ocean trick is definitely a good way to earn public works projects

Definitely random. A week after I could start PWPs, one of my villagers suggested it to me out of the blue.

I got it suggested randomly. I reset and started on January 11th, and I have a bunch of pwps including the police station because of the diving trick.

I don't remember exactly how long it was, but I know it was pretty early on. Probably within the first month of playing.
