How is your basement decorated?

Looks like a "retro" mess.
Just put some very colored furniture and call it retro/disco.
It can look good if you have no sense of taste. But overrall it's just a failed experiment of mine.

I have three characters in my town, so their basement design is different from one another.

• Mayor's Basement: It's decorated as an artistic room. A place to create new designs of all artistic formats. I thought having a room like that would fit the house for my mayor character.
  
  
• Second Character's Basement: My second character is a doctor. Made the basement into a staff room. I was thinking of making the basement into a cafeteria, but I felt like a staff room would be better.
  
  
• Third Character's Basement: My third character is a hotel owner. Designed the basement to be like a pub/bar. Thought it would be really cool to make one.

my mayor?s basement in my main town is a pottery studio. In my second town her basement is the kitchen.
The other characters have more facility based basements such as music bar/venue and bath house. I?m planning on turning one into a dungeon or vault.

I really like the idea of a pottery studio! I imagine you could do a lot with that with all the different pots and the brick oven as a kiln.

My basement ideas are always themed so I doubt they would help you much. In my Asian-themed house, I have a samurai war room in the basement. In my big Victorian mansion, I'm planning on a hidden alchemy lab in the basement. And in my public gallery/museum, I'm planning on making the basement a storage area with crates, statues and artifacts that don't get displayed elsewhere.

But for a regular house, I like the idea of a laundry room or a cellar for storing fruits and vegetables. In real life, a lot of people have dens/family rooms/game rooms in their basements, so you could also go that route. Or you could use the room to showcase a hobby of your own, like a sewing room, arts and crafts room, a room for storing collectibles, etc.

Mine is a villager pic museum!

Since I reset my town recently this is mine now, too, lol. Practically a shrine, since it's all the wolves in town. (okay not everyone; the girls held out on giving me their photos and I think it's because they weren't in my old town nearly as long as my original wolf boys)

In my old town it had accidentally turned into like a Christmas living room? Zero intent to that, I just had tons of stuffed bears I liked, the fireplace, and eventually the tree just made sense.

I don't even know how to describe my basement but it's one of my favourite rooms. It's cozy and features a lot of wood, yummy sweets and plants.

Because I like my mayor's house to be like a real one, in my first town it was a kitchen, but now that I've reset, it's currently a bathroom.

Using mine for my mayor's as a lil hang out lodge kind of thing, so like a second living room but cooler I guess? My Alt's basement just has a skeleton and that's all I plan to keep down there for her. And my 3rd Alt's basement is suppose to be a like, midnight garden with statues and a lot of the zodiac items to make it all pretty.

At the moment I don't even have a basement. Once I finish building one, my current idea is to use the lava flooring/wallpaper to make it into a volcanic lair. Would fit my town's fire theme quite well.

My basement is a little garden, I have a bridge and a pond that take up the whole room and some mushrooms and ivy~
