How easy was it to get five stars?

I got it out of the way by putting furniture everywhere. I didn't want to start decorating for real and then end up having to ruin my finished work again because I have the wrong amount of trees or something.

The rating is still there and so are the random office desks on the beach.

I was able to get 5 stars pretty easily! Just place a bunch of fences and items around and before you know it your island’s already 5 stars.
The only thing that really hindered me from getting it (and from having a constant 5 star rating) is when I end up hoarding way too much diys and just leave them outside.

It was easier than I expected. I was at 3 stars for a long time... I checked again at some later point (a couple of weeks?), and I found that I had jumped to 5 stars. I recommend decorating, adding flowers and fences, picking up weeds, and not leaving small items lying around (DIY, etc.). Good luck!

It's not uber quick but's it's not hard at all, I realized I had 5 stars when I saw a Lily of the Valley on my island, I was surprised because I thought it was going to be harder and a lot of areas on my island weren't decorated at this time.
You just have to place furnitures outside and avoid to "drop" a lot of things on the ground.
Go with the flow of the game and it will happen naturally.

it definitely wasn't as hard to get five stars as I thought it would be; my island was barely half decorated and yet a lily of the valley showed up to my surprise. the key is just utilising fences wherever possible + being sure to have a variety of furniture items placed throughout the island!

I don't know what rating my island would be if I picked up all of the pre-crafted tools I leave on the ground. I like to have a bunch of them all ready to go in case something breaks, and then I see a cool bug or something, and I don't want to lose track of it while gathering sticks to make another net, or worse, to have to go inside to get a net, thus despawning the bug.

...I might try picking up all the tools someday, just to see what rating I'd get. But I don't care that much about the rewards for five stars, so I haven't bothered yet. ^o^;>

surprisingly easy? getting 5 stars wasn't even a priority for me; all I wanted to do was terraform and decorate my island and suddenly I got 5 stars :0 I didn't realize until I found jacob's ladders growing on my island

I found a jacob's ladder after playing for three weeks.
I grinded with fishing to pay off everything each day, and when Leif was reintroduced I went nuts with the bushes, and it got me five stars.

mine went to 5 right after i realized the wood on my beaches was holding me back, so once i buried it all i was at 5. mainly got their because i had waaaaaaay too many flowers and trees

It was actually surprisingly easy. I wasn't even aiming for 5 stars until I finished terraforming my map, but one day when my island was probably 40% complete I was curious so I checked in with Isabelle. I got 4 *, and she told me I had a lot of stuff strewn around so i picked them up and lo and behold 5 *. Cool!

It was not too difficult for me, as I was actively trying for it. I got my first Jacob Ladder after storing a bunch of scorpions outside everywhere. I thought it would go back down to 4 stars after I sold all the scorpions but it didn't (though I sold them like a week or two later)

I didn’t even notice I’d made it to five stars until I went to Isabelle randomly one day and asked and she said five stars. I basically just decorated and I’m kinda obsessed with keeping things neat and tidy and have lots of fences. I guess that did it.

not hard. but with that being said, I play while I'm at work and have put an embarrassing amount of time already into this game. really, just talk to Isabelle about your stars and she'll tell you what you should do to get more stars

it was actually quite a process for me! I had a lot of flowers around (still haven't binned all of them... I'm pretending I'll use them... someday...) but it probably took me around 2 months. I never did anything like just place down a ton of bugs/furniture in order to cheese the rating, I wanted to decorate my island organically and that's just how long it took me to come up with furniture placements that gained me the rating.

nothing's really changed now that I have it, though i've redesigned a few things and moved items around, not sure how long I'll be keeping it tbh xD

I work as a financial manager but it's over the phone work, and during the pandemic they have us working at home. And...welp as a gamer, I saw an opportunity and I took it lol

Honestly if you have enough flowers and go wild with the outdoor furniture, you can get a five star rating fairly easily!
