I just realized today i had four stars.. i hadnt checked in a while but i really havent done much.. theres so much stuff just laying around because ive needed to dump my pockets.. i mean really nothing is done..especially compared to the other islands ive seen in like youtube tours.. i dont understand how i got four stars i was kindve shocked and thought that was too easy.. so than i started to think.. it must be easy to get 5 stars... i wonder if hours spent on design has anything to do with it because i have noticed my villagers saying ive been putting in a lot of design work and stuff like that
It’s pretty easy, especially if you decorate a lot. Make sure you have fences and furniture everywhere with flowers, and you should be good! Also make sure you pick up DIYs/dropped items
It took me a few days but then, other than a week when I had turnips sitting around everywhere, I've been at five stars ever since. It is easier to maintain the longer you play and the more island decorating projects you take on
We worked on weeks to get from 4* to 5* by doing what Isabelle told us, adding fences, order nook mile items, keep ground occupied by placing items I didn’t like, etc., then once the nook cranny got upgraded, we got 5* immediately! Even though the island is by no means pretty...
It took me a couple of months. May 17 was when I first got 5 stars. It was pretty easy to get. It took sometime because I was slowly decorating my island. I had put down a few flowers and fences, but not much else. Then I started putting furniture all over the place and then one morning I saw my first Lily of the Valley. Some people still struggle to get 5 stars, though. I never bothered asking Isabelle for advice. I just did whatever and it all worked out.
I think a Lily of the Valley shows up once per week if you keep your 5 star rating. Asking Isabelle what to do next is probably also a smart idea. You'll probably get things done quicker with her advice. That's probably another reason it took me a while, because I didn't check with her.
Getting 5 stars was easy since my outdoor cafe gave me enough outdoor furniture to reach it. I find it harder to maintain 5 stars since I always have a bunch of stuff dropped on the floor.
it only took me a few hours but it was a hassle. i had to literally cut down over half of the trees on my island because there were "too many" but once i got the golden can recipe, i told isabelle to do one, replanted all of said trees and TT'ed to get them full grown again lmao.
Isabelle has no idea how much effort you put into your decorating process or whether it actually looks good. The only thing she looks at is how many items are around. I think it was pretty trivial for me to reach five stars, I just had nice spots to sit and hang around everywhere with simple chairs and tables. When I reached 5 stars, my island wasn't even close to having the amount of decoration it does now...
I found it took a little bit cause Isabelle kept saying I needed more nature and I felt like I was always adding more and it wasn’t enough. In the end when I got a lot more flowers and trees all she was saying was I had a lot of stuff lying around which was true cause I had been moving things.
I found it quite easy to get five stars, I wasn’t even trying to get it and then suddenly I noticed lilies of the valley growing around my island and I had to google what it meant lol
I reached give stars only yesterday! But in the end it is not really hard, I have just been taking decorating really slowly. And even then only 35% or something if my island is decorated.. I got five stars only because I put cypress trees everywhere to give the island a more Mediterranean feel.. and a lot of stone fences to create ruins.
surprisingly, it was quite easy. i just made sure to ask isabelle about the island’s rating so that she’d drop suggestions on what needed to be worked on and also consulted guides about what amount of plants/furniture items/etc are necessary to reach 5 stars and somehow, i got it way sooner than i thought i would - i thought i had ways to go and several more furniture items to place when isabelle was like “yep this place is 5 stars now lmao” - definitely the easiest time i’ve had in all the years that i’ve played animal crossing aha
for me personally, it was super easy. i started playing 3 days after launch and was able to hit 5 stars + being the first one in my friends group (they all started on launch day)
it's really not difficult if you just go ham on decorating your island with furniture. esp with crafted items. isabelle seems to like those lol. if you're desperate to get a false sense of 5 stars island accomplishment, you can just randomly place down furniture and i'm sure she'd just give your island 5 stars tbh.
