How do you say GIF?

I know this seems like a strange question, but a long time ago I saw this poll (I think it was on Facebook) that asked how people pronounce GIF. Basically, the question was "Do you say it like Gif (hard g) or Jif?"

Well my problem with this is that I don't say either of those. I say it like it's spelled (G-I-F) because it's an acronym for "Graphics Interchange Format". I do this with any word that's an acronym (except JPEG, I say that like jay-peg).

My question here is how do you guys pronounce it? I would like to know if I'm the only one who says it like it's spelled.

I say Giff. I was saying it that way long before anybody said otherwise so it's too awkward to change now. And everybody I know says Giff too.

It doesn't bother me if someone says Jiff, but my first thought would be the peanut butter.
