Smash Bros How do you practice / train?

honestly playing with your amiibo helps LOADS
the way they work is that they pick out the flaws of your method of playing and then exploit those flaws to rek you. If you can successfully beat a lvl 50 amiibo that you've trained yourself by playing normally then you'll be on the way to becoming amazing

and obviously fighting good players from here, like Jav, CookingOkasan etc.

That's why I left, I can't stand Little Mac mains.
Smug players...grrmble

I could play someone else if you'd feel better that way. We had barely to zero lag so it'd be nice to have someone to play against.

I do a lot of 1-v-1 for glory... but yeah Little Macs and Mega Mans are pieces of crap and make me wan an rage quit

Then I'd feel bad because I'm making you swap a character you like the most, Mac users just get me hella salty because it's always the same thing over and over and I keep getting baited into em!

You have no idea how much I hate the A spam ;_;

I have another main I play quite frequently though, but I'll keep that a surprise. Just hit me up if you ever feel like playing!

I'll be home in 2 hours if anyone wants to fight/train haha

what i usually do on the 3ds version is fight against 9s that have different sets of moves/styles (like mario, marth, and villager) and just go from there or fight against people on "for glory" 1v1, rarely free-for-all.

on the wii u version, i do the same thing or fight against my amiibos. they're actually quite useful in that sense, especially when you get an amiibo for a character you have a hard time beating. :D

I cry onto my controller and it does what I need it to do.

nah I usually just go into training and work on true combos. I had a huge breakthrough today because I got fed up with the game and realized that I'm actually garbage at it so I set actual goals to improve for once instead of just remaining stagnant. I practiced upair to knee and stomp to knee for like an hour at different percents on different characters and instantly saw my accuracy hitting those two things increase dramatically in real games.
I wish sm4sh training had options like 20XX in melee so you can see when people are in hitstun so that you know when you're hitting guaranteed stuff properly.

I'm really nervous about playing melee at smash club so I've been practicing a ton this week. I've been loading in without an opponent and trying to force myself to land x amount of wavelands in a row or x amount of l cancels in a row and working on my overall movement because it's been a good 3 or 4 years since I played melee. A lot of it just kinda comes back to you but goddamn it's a lot of work, especially since I'm so nervous about playing real people who I know will just wreck me over and over.

One of the main things I'll do is go into training mode and try to figure out combos as well as other tech with my mains. Since the game is fairly new, the full potential of each character hasn't been sought out. I main Villager and Toon Link and he can do a lot with his bombs and speed which can be chained into other combos. It seems like almost every week I discover something new that I can use against opponents.

After a nice chunk of time in the training room, I'll head over to For Glory to test out my new skillz to see how well it works on actual human players.

I usually SD to the point that it pisses me off and then I start facing level 9s and practicing me edge game.

If SDs aren't the problem, I get pissed off for X reason and hit up YouTube or Smashboards to learn about what I'm losing to/ what I'm doing wrong.

:'(
