How do you guys get SO many bells?

Seriously how do you do it?
I just reached 1.8mil at once thanks to selling a lot of villager pictures on April's fools day,
but I NEVER have that much!
When I see dream villagers being auctioned at prices over 2mil, how do people even manage to get that many bells?
I can never compete in auctions or offer to buy a villager without seeming ridiculous.

WHAT IS YOUR SECRET?

Sell your TBT bells that generates quite a bit, and then investing loads on turnips and selling them in a town where prices are high.

You can sell foreign fruits for more money than native ones. And there's sharks and beetles at the island at night. And turnips.

But I think it'll take work over a few days if you want over a million

I'm guessing duping is most of it, which is where you do this cheat to double the amount of items you have. Get a bunch of 99 thousand bell bags and you can get up to 1.6 mil bells in the matter of a few minutes.

Some people play for like 25 hours a day, buy second copies to sell villagers, and/or time travel to sell rare items

I don't do that stuff so the most bells I've had is 2 million and it took me months.

I just get my bells from tips left by people who sell/buy turnips at my town and by auctioning off villagers (Only once so far, though).
Buying and selling turnips myself just seems so time consuming, so. Yeah.

I used to sell tons of perfect fruit in another town and would make 1.5 million per harvest. But I'm sick of planting and picking the trees.

I mainly do turnips now and buy 1 million worth. I wait for a town that has a price above 500 and can make 5-6 million usually.

I also breed hybrids slowly and once I have too many on my beach I sell them. The last time I sold I had someone buy all my stock as once and it was several millions. So not bad.

I bought two more copies and traded, sold and auctioned my villagers. Reset for super popular ones like marshal and diana and marina etc, manipulate the stalk market, and just plug away at it.
It's taken me 10 months to get to the 100 million bell mark in my main game, and i ONLY have done it through hard work and trading etc.
Some people dupe bells or crowns and then sell them, thats cool I guess.

I only wanted to get to 100 mil so I got the gold bell badge -- I now don't care about bells at all, and will be using mine to help other people get their dreamies.
It takes time, I swear.

Go the the TBT marketplace, people there are willing to buy 100 TBT bells for 800-900k

Anyway, I used to bug hunt. I can't do turnips because I TT too much. :x I sold a villager or two, and I have 4 copies... So yeah. xD;

I get mine from selling turnips in other peoples towns mostly. Even after the tip, if I go with a full locker I get like 10mil. So even two sections is a lot.
Villager selling sometimes too.

Turnips though: wait to buy them until a town with high prices is up and they say you can go.
