How do you force a villager to wear a clothes

I'm trying to get Olaf to wear back the matador jacket. Problem is, these are rather rare and I only have 2. Is there a way to force him to wear it?

When I wanted Rosie back in her dazed shirt I sent four to her in letters, she was wearing it the next day. I'd suggest posting them.

Olaf is a great villager, I had him in my town before .

I'm trying to get Olaf to wear back the matador jacket. Problem is, these are rather rare and I only have 2. Is there a way to force him to wear it?

I work fairly hard at keeping their shirts original, and two is probably not enough to get him to stay in the jacket. I have Eugene working on PWPs in my town, and even though he's not a favorite of mine, I did want to keep his original look. It took buying 4 or 5 of those pleather vests to keep him in it.

The first shirt or two seems to go in their house. Then they'll put on the shirt but quickly change back out. Finally, they put it on and keep it a while. It almost seems like they have a few hidden pockets to keep old shirts in to surprise you with, and you have to get those filled up with original shirts too.

Be sure there are no shirts displayed at Able's, and don't leave your villagers any room to trade clothes at ReTail either. Finally, you'll have to decide whether you want to take the risk of running errands for villagers any more. There's nothing worse than finally having them in the shirt you want and watching them change it before your eyes. And sometimes they keep that shirt no matter how ugly you tell them it is Good luck!
