How do y'all feel about furniture?

unpopular opinion: i actually really like the furniture. yes, i do miss the regal or rococo series, but i'm glad that we finally have 'normal' stand-alone furniture. i can make a normal house that i would actually live in. and i always have different furniture in my nook shop

I like most of the furniture that is in the game. However, I am very disappointed with all of the cut furniture. I was expecting - as it has been in all past AC games - the vast majority of items from all past games to return (nearly everything, pretty much), and I was really hoping that some Pocket Camp items would make the transition over.

It's sad we have our first free outdoor furniture system and we don't have much good outdoor furniture to put out. Pocket Camp's items would make this game a thousand times better. (if we could get them implemented in some way other than fortune cookies/microtransactions, because those are terrible).

So...there's the Antique, Fruit, Astrology, Bamboo, Arcade, Bunny Day (flashbacks), Cardboard, Cherry-Blossom, Cute, Diner, Music, Space, Frozen, Golden, Imperial, Iron, Ironwood, Log, Mush, Natural, Rattan, Shell, Wedding, Wooden-Block, Wooden. Overall 1069 items.

The have the gothic mirror, but no gothic items. Tsk.

Now, NL has 1764 items. There's 7-Eleven, Alpine, Astro, Balloon (disgusting), Blue, Bunny Day, Cabana, Cabin, Campus, Card series, Cinnamoroll, Classic, Egg, Exotic, Fueki series, Golden, Gorgeous, Gracie's, Green, Gulliver's Treasury, Harvest, Hello Kitty, Ice, Insect, Jingle series, Kerokerokeroppi, Kiddie, Kiki and Lala, Lovely, Mario, Mermaid, Minimalist, Modern, Modern Wood, Mushroom, My Melody, Pavé, Polka-dot, Pompompurin, Pond, Princess, Ranch, Regal, Robo, Rock Garden, Rococo, Sleek, Sloppy, Snowman, Spooky series, Stripe, Sweets series.

I know it's gonna take some time to render these series into HD, but I hope they are working on it. That'd be an amazing update. Totally would bring people back to the game.

The Bistro Table would be a perfect outside item for a café.

I'm quite bewildered as to why a lot of these series are not in the game. Hopefully, we'll see a comeback of many, in the future.

NL also had loads of extra items not part of any sets.
They had the RV items, the food, Monster Hunter, Zelda, and the list goes on.

I'd give up all this wooden 'stuff' for the bread basket from NL alone!
Or the cheese.
Or the potato bake.

It honestly feels kinda bland.. I was used to all the variety in NL. I miss the Kiddie and Rococo sets

I really miss the mermaid set!! I fell in love with it as soon as I got all the pieces in new leaf
The shell set is also cute, but it's just not as magical.
I wish there were more not-so-ordinary furniture sets in new horizons, but I guess the ordinary sets kind of fit better in the general feel of the game. I'm keeping my hopes up tho!! There's still lots of updates coming, so I can't wait for those ☺

I actually like the more minimalistic style NH went for but I would've been nice to keep some of the furniture from NL in the game. I love the furniture in PC, too! I wish they'd put some of it in the main series.

I think the furniture series in the game is great, but I do not like how limited we are when it comes to how many styles of furniture there are. Hopefully in the future update they bring back the furniture series from the past.

I feel very disappointed.
In New Leaf, we had a lot of different furnitures. A lot of set, like minimalist serie, rococco, mermaid... all of these were really good ! In Pocket Camp, they add a lot of series as well (last time I was looking for that, so few months ago, I counted about 60 different fortune cookies. Almost all of them are just incredible, beautiful, wonderful, I have no words to qualify them actually, it sells dream! And in New Horizons? Nothing. Pretty nothing. We have new furnitures, yes, but not that much. The game is pretty empty at this point and I really hope they'll add more sets and maybe some from PC. Please Nintendo!
We could have more options to personalize our island and have an unique one! I feel now imagination is not enough to feel very 'special'. We definitely need more furnitures, and not ten or twenty in annoying events... hundreds!

Honestly I feel it's way too limited. I love NH don't get me wrong, it does a lot of things good. I was always into telling stories with multiple houses and giving certain vibes to different ones but atm I can't really do that in NH. Tho I don't have all the furniture but looking through the list I don't feel like there's enough. I also I feel like the current furniture is a bit...boring. That's just how I feel though.
I really hope they'll bring back some of the NL sets and more. (Idk how likely it would be for them to add PC furniture but it would honestly be so nice. I can only dream tho haha)
I'll still remain hopeful that they really bump the furniture game up the the next level since I think it would really make the game so much better. Who knows 3 years from now the game could feel totally different. The wedding set was a pretty good set imo so I have hope.

Yeah there is just tons of furniture that hasn't been added from older games, it really sucks as this game is very focused around the creativity and building up your town than just furnishing your house that it's very odd that this game doesn't have like all the furniture from past games and new stuff because of how the game was designed to spend more time decorating when there isn't tons of options like past games. I really hope a new update comes out and we get like at least 200+ new furniture items to decorate with!

I really love all of the new stuff (especially some of the really SICK diys) but every AC game I've played my favorite room has been my kitchen. I'd fill it with tons of food and random junk but I feel like this game, particularly opposed to New Leaf, has basically no food items. I have a couple of cakes and a fruit basket but I miss all of the really random stuff. Plus I'd like to see shaved ice again to add to my little resort area
