How do y'all feel about furniture?

I am starting to get a little frustrated, too! I want more whimsical stuff. Oh, and more tables, benches, and chairs since i use them a lot. and more functional items that our villagers can interact with.

The modern wood set is the one that gets me the most because they left the wallpaper in but removed everything else. Like...why even bother doing that?

This is why I kinda don't like this kind of model where we rely on updates to get new stuff. Because we really don't know for sure if they'll actually add more furniture or leave it as is which sucks. Don't leave us hanging, Nintendo!

It sucks. The lack of variety is really showing now. Millions of players are already on the point of having fully-decorated houses. Seeing them posted all over social media, we all pretty much have the same stuff, just re-arranged. Ironwood here, wooden block there, antique here, cute set there...

i just want all the furniture sets that were in new leaf to come to new horizons. while pocket camp has some amazing furniture and items, i really dont see myself using any of it except for the odd piece here and there. i guess this is just my personal tastes coming into play, but im not rly a fan of extravagant & fancy furniture. i just want my basic furniture with some cute non-set items like a lil plant or a food item (which we are rly lacking!!). i also feel like if we were to get some pocket camp things, they would be non-interactable. like that teacup ride we have?? even tho i wont ever use its rly cute but no one actually rides in it!! & im pretty sure there's a teacup ride in pocket camp that ur villagers can use.

i agree, the lack of diversity is really frustrating. i miss so many of the awesome furniture sets of previous games (princess rococo & sloppy wya?). i guess they have such little furniture in keeping with the 'new life on a deserted island' theme but honestly it's just annoying. i wish they'd have added more by now!
Wait. Wait. Wait, those series are NOT in the game? I am so disappointed. I was waiting for them. I love the gaudy exquisiteness that the rococo series has. Have you seen the purple version? Absolutely stunning. What other series is not in the game...?

I mean it's good but it's really lacking tbh like we need more furniture sets, c'mon nintedo I'm tired of having a limited selection of furnitures, hoping they add more in the next update...

This has been an ongoing complaint from a lot of people in the community. I feel the same way. I am so limited with how creative I want to be because there isn't as much as there was in New Leaf. I love the game to death and play it everyday. But I really don't want to get burnt out because of not having enough to decorate my island and house with. I'm starting to lack the motivation to even do anything with my island, which sucks.

I really hope they step it up a little bit. The game has been out for long enough now. Surely there are going to be some good furniture updates coming. I'm crossing my fingers. 🥺

I'm really disappointed in the lack of furniture. Not only do I feel extremely limited in what I can do for interior and exterior design, but being unable to customise most Nook-sold items just adds insult to injury. It makes checking the shop stock very frustrating too because it feels like 9 times out of 10 they have stuff you've already seen.

I'm hoping they'll continue to release new sets and old favorites will be back. I miss the sweets set, lovely set, and mermaid set along with many others people have mentioned. It seems they went with a very realistic aesthetic (antique, rattan, natural garden, etc) and moved away from the more whimsical sets. I think in a game about living alongside talking animals, that is disappointing. I love the new realistic sets, but they should have included old favorites.

I also wish people would stop defending Nintendo over Pocket Camp and saying it has nice stuff because it's a mobile game... as if that somehow justifies it having better items and explains why New Horizons can't. That doesn't make sense.

Yes, PC is a gacha game that hooks collectors into spending extreme amounts of money for digital items, so of course they need to come out with fancy new items continuously to keep sales up. But are 10 digital decorations really worth $50? I mean, as nice as they are, that's a really inflated price.... they target a small percentage of players that they know will pay. But that's how mobile gaming works... and not all the designs are original or even great. On occasion, they introduce and charge for the exact same items we had in New Leaf and HHD (the wildflower floor or mushroom forest wall, for example.) If PC can charge money for old items not exclusive to PC, why doesn't Nintendo own the right to PC exclusive designs and allow them to be used in NH? Probably because PC is making them nice money, and NH sold well regardless, so why kill the golden goose?

Hopefully as time goes on we will get new items with events, holidays, and such. I'm not happy so much is missing from previous games and I'm jealous of my Pocket Camp storage, but I'm hopeful. The wedding event wasn't my cup of tea, but the items are nice and some closely resemble Whitney's cookie items... so maybe there will be more of that in the future.

Yeah I feel like we are sooo limited in furniture that everyone is forced to have all the same themes in their islands because of what's available, like having a diner, or zen garden, etc. I was just visiting my New Leaf town earlier and I realized just how much more creative my interior decorating was back then because of the variety of items. The only reason I'm not overly upset is because I *truly* believe they will add more later plus a house upgrade and customization that will really freshen things up. If I'm wrong about that, then I'll be really disappointed :(

This is pretty much it. I was surprised that PC was being kept alive after NH was released, so I did some looking into it. Of the mobile games nintendo has, fire embelm and PC have the smallest userbases, but splash the most cash. It really is a golden goose.

You can have a look under furniture. Was hoping for more of the old weeding day stuff. Like the rose sofa. Astro, robo are gone. I loved the old mush set, and some fishing tourney and bug-off stuff.

Thank you!

So...there's the Antique, Fruit, Astrology, Bamboo, Arcade, Bunny Day (flashbacks), Cardboard, Cherry-Blossom, Cute, Diner, Music, Space, Frozen, Golden, Imperial, Iron, Ironwood, Log, Mush, Natural, Rattan, Shell, Wedding, Wooden-Block, Wooden. Overall 1069 items.

The have the gothic mirror, but no gothic items. Tsk.

Now, NL has 1764 items. There's 7-Eleven, Alpine, Astro, Balloon (disgusting), Blue, Bunny Day, Cabana, Cabin, Campus, Card series, Cinnamoroll, Classic, Egg, Exotic, Fueki series, Golden, Gorgeous, Gracie's, Green, Gulliver's Treasury, Harvest, Hello Kitty, Ice, Insect, Jingle series, Kerokerokeroppi, Kiddie, Kiki and Lala, Lovely, Mario, Mermaid, Minimalist, Modern, Modern Wood, Mushroom, My Melody, Pavé, Polka-dot, Pompompurin, Pond, Princess, Ranch, Regal, Robo, Rock Garden, Rococo, Sleek, Sloppy, Snowman, Spooky series, Stripe, Sweets series.

I know it's gonna take some time to render these series into HD, but I hope they are working on it. That'd be an amazing update. Totally would bring people back to the game.

The Bistro Table would be a perfect outside item for a café.

I'm quite bewildered as to why a lot of these series are not in the game. Hopefully, we'll see a comeback of many, in the future.

I personally really like the "more normal" furniture of ACNH, but at the same time on only on day 8 of playing rn so i guess i'll have to see how I feel about it later on...
