How did you guys unlock PWP's?

Hey,
Getting PWPs is such a pain, and it seems like everyone else gets them so easily. How did you guys unlock them???

Butting in because I would like to know this too >.< ever since I started my new town I cannot get anyone to suggest anything, no matter how hard i try

Naturally with my villagers randomly suggesting them.

I tried the diving trick a few times, but it got boring real fast. Eventually I just gave up on them, because by the time I unlocked the ones I wanted for so long, I didn't really want them anymore, or had already reworked the area I was going to put said PWP in.

Well I was just walking around all of my villagers for 5 or so minutes and got a tire toy from puck...

I use the diving trick. I put on my wetsuit and empty my bag of anything villagers might want to buy/trade, and fill it with flowers.

Then I dive off the cliff and swim to the bottom corner of the map. I wait there for just over 10 minutes, then I swim back to shore and run past the villager I want the PWP from. They will ping, and hopefully it will be about a PWP and not about changing catchphrases or random dialogue. This only works about 3 times then they will say 'go home and rest' or 'you look tired' so I just save and quit and start again if I haven't received a PWP yet.

It can take 10 minutes if you're lucky or it can be up to an hour so I do this while I'm watching tv. I just keep an eye on the in game clock for 10 minutes to pass. I've been successful with this method, and I've unlocked all the PWP's in my town by doing this.

I used the diving trick as well. It took weeks to get the ones I really wanted, it was rather annoying. Now I sorta miss the dialogue of villagers suggesting PWPs.

I dunno. but I find myself getting a burst of requests every once in a while. Alice just suggested the police station tonight. I have more success with villagers I'm super pals with...
but I don't know, I might just be lucky. /shrug

Can you be pinged by animals when you start up the game or do you have to wait 10 minutes for someone to ping you at the start?

you will get pinged about PWP more easily just after you've constructed a PWP...,
noticed this a few times already (just startied to work on a new PWP - day after another request)...

I get everyday one PWP and I don't think it's that hard. I do the diving trick and it works for me really good ^^

The first ping you get in a day can be a publics works project regardless of how long it has been since you've started up. A few weeks ago, I loaded up my game and Katt pinged me almost immediately to suggest a Wisteria Trellis.

Me too. I dont see the need in purposely trying to get PWP's tho but i guess that's just me.

Yes. Quite a few times Apple was beside my house and pinged when I started up. Stalker much

I'm doing absolutely everything else apart from working on my town while I wait for my tasteless villagers to suggest good PWPs. I've spent months working on my house and badges, ignoring landscaping my town. When I decide to start doing so, I'll have a nice lot of decent PWPs to choose from.

I think the most important part of the diving trick is just not having your villagers see you for 5 minutes or so, swimming doesn't add anything to it other than that they're guaranteed not to see you. So, if you wanted to, you could probably just do something in a corner of your town your villagers don't usually get to for 5 minutes, then walk around your town if you get pinged, since the diving trick is pretty boring.

The diving trick is extremely boring. I just walk around town everyday for a few minutes until someone pings me.

I've tried the diving trick a few times and when I walk by villagers they either A) don't ping me at all or B) ask me some stupid random question. I have yet to get a pwp from the diving trick
