I have a lot of miles just because I don't go on any mystery tours anymore. So they just accumulate.
:O wow how does it feel to be blessed LOLI got Hazel as a starting villager and later on Judy moved into my island. I didn't like either of them so I made 400nmt in total, which has basically set me up for life in terms of bells and getting my dreamies.
do u use a 2nd switch?I mostly just cycle and trade out villagers o':
Once you collect all the recipes, she starts giving you star fragments.ooo if you keep racking up in celeste diys you can get pretty rich with them hehe

60 nmt just by grinding tasks is SO MUCH WORK IMO LOL
so props to you! ;D
ohhhh snapp i actually did not know that lolOnce you collect all the recipes, she starts giving you star fragments.
i occasionally use them for tours, but i mostly use them for online tradingHey, sorry to jump in like this lol, but I also have a question for people with a lot of NMTs:
Would you guys say that you use most of them to island hop, to buy Nook Mile items or to trade online? Like, how do you usually spend them?
no freacking wayNot really applicable to making NMT now but I happened across blue roses much much earlier than most, very early on in april and made quite a lot of NMT selling them. Happened to come across Raymond mid April and someone offered me 1200 NMT for him immediately too.
4 THOUSAND? EVERYBODY ON THIS THREAD IS KILLING ME I CRY LOLI have ~4000 NMTs, and I'd say 90% of it came from selling DIYs.
Otherwise, the rest has been giving people access to turnip prices (only happened once lol).
EDIT: I usually ask for NMTs instead of bells, just for faster trading lol
i agree tbh, nmt is easier and more to the point, its better to round out yknow?Mostly trades. I currently use them as a currency, I prefer payin in NMT rather than in IGB because it's just...easier
im seeing alot of people sell diys, you guys mainly get it from villagers and the beach right?Mostly trades. Sold a lot of desirable diys and crafted items of those diys. I gotten lucky with celeste diys and sold them.

damn u mustve had alot of diys xD

i actually have a whole bumch of diys myself that i really wanna get rid ofVillagers, the beach, I'll trade multiples of lower value diys for a higher tier one. The people I regularly trade with don't mind if I grab the DIY from their villagers and I don't care if they grab them from mine if they are trusted. I have too many items laying about so I generally don't open my gates for people to get diys.

yeah ive been doing that recently!A good place to start is to check your villagers for DIYs they give you. They give 3 a day in different times.
And I usually post in several places: here, discord channels, etc.
this is such a good question!
wait , what event? revamp mystry islands?Sitting at a little over 400 mostly from trades, and the occasional tips. I'm saving them for the event they revamp mystery islands or NMT's use in the game.
you legit took the words out of my mouth! i agree wholeheartedly , but with so many nmt you can increase the chances of what villagersyou can find but ehhh still pretty risky! but i do agree with the opinion that nmt are just easier to handle than bells lolHaha thanks! This thread is really interesting!
I asked this because the value of NMTs genuinely confuses me. Because their only practical function in-game is to be exchanged for island tours, which aren't inherently valuable themselves. Maybe you'll bump into a popular villager or a rare island but it's pretty unlikely and random.
So it's interesting how they seem to have become the prefered online currency and are worth like, 150k bells each (as someone mentioned here) when bells have a lot more use in the game itself
