How did you get rich in NMT?

i’ve amounted like 1.4k NMT through selling sherb (at 400 or so oop)- and by letting people catalog sets through animal crossing discord servers ! it’s pretty easy-

im seeing a pattern that many people get nmt by selling their villagers!
i shouldve probably done the same cause i sold a villager but mainly for bells
so im doing gr8 in bells right now, but nmt, not so much ;(

Yes a lot of people will sell their villagers for NMT so they can island hop after! I completely forgot about that since I sold my last villager for TBT since I prefer that to NMT. I believe I bought Bunnie from someone for like 15 NMT.

I made arts for pwyp and people offer nmt <3 I think I have about 70 in my house inventory and I use them as a bit of an escape whenever I'm feeling fed up with decorating and terraforming.

I have the natural wood pagoda actually, and I don't want it (didn't even realize it was going for so high)

I have no use for TBTs, so I trade them for NMTs. I only use NMTs to pay entry for Celeste. I've only got 5 more Celeste recipes to obtain, then I'll have little to no need for NMTs.

I made most of my NMT by selling Judy and Audie! also by offering services/items or holding auctions for rare items. In total I could say I made about a 1000NMT. Also, idk if you know this but duping anything is easily bannable/punnishable so I wouldn't dip your toes into that haha

I get my nmt from conducting trades on nookazon and setting it so that im only looking for offers in nmt!

although I dont really need/want nmt but since they're the main currency I have them to get stuff like artwork or unorderables

ive been using nookazon alot lately and tbh i think ill have to start setting it to mainly nmt!

Would you guys say that you use most of them to island hop, to buy Nook Mile items or to trade online? Like, how do you usually spend them?

like others, definitely agree with cycling/selling villagers. i also get a lot just from grinding the nook miles + tasks. you can also trade bells for nmt!

many seem to sell nmt for 250k bells, but idk if that still stands? :0

it's actually pretty cheap right now, i think the current rate is 100-150k:1nmt, so now's a good time to trade the bells for NMT!

yeah ive been in different discord servers and see so many people use nmt and i can totally see how it works out! i might start a ctaloging service or a crafting service x)

TBH the market for selling villagers decreases over time so I was just really lucky when I sold Judy and Audie earlier in April >< and yee! Services like crafting things for people or allowing them to come to your town. (just take a precaution of securing your valuables tho!)

I got Hazel as a starting villager and later on Judy moved into my island. I didn't like either of them so I made 400nmt in total, which has basically set me up for life in terms of bells and getting my dreamies.

60 nmt just by grinding tasks is SO MUCH WORK IMO LOL

I sorta use them to island hop, SPEND/trade online (in caps because is life lol), tip when i visit someone, sell for tbt as well.

i use mine mostly to trade for items or other villagers i want. not really super patient enough for island hopping. already bought all the nook miles items i need in the beginning.
