My older sister got Wild World when it came out on DS. She was 12 or 13 and I was only 9. After accidentally resetting her town and causing her to give me the silent treatment for a week, my mom bought me my own copy and it's been downhill ever since.

The only games I seem to play are pokemon games, and when New Leaf was all my pokemon buddies were talking about in our skype chats (they were freaking out because it seems it's been forever coming and they were really pumped for this game I'd never heard of lol), I decided to watch a few LP's of it (Chuggaa and ZackScott's) and I was hooked! XD I'm even considering buying a THIRD copy! Oh god how has it come to this!! Lol

It was a gift when I was like 5 or 6 back when we had a Gamecube. I instantly got addicted to Animal Crossing: Population Growing and I've loved all the AC games since!

I found out about AC when I was about 10 when I took a game back to a shop as it kept crashing on me, so the guy who worked there just told me to pick out another game in exchange, & so I picked out AC:WW.

I have never regretted choosing WW that day.

That was such a long time ago, I don't even remember. I think it might have been bundled with my Gamecube or something.

I read about ACGC in Nintendo Power magazine and bought it when it first came out. I found out about ACNL from Chuggaaconroy.

I'm a really big fan of the series in general and I used too but this gaming magazine which had an article about it at the initial release of the Nintendo 3DS.

So technically a magazine but I would've found out about it anyway.

I used to spend a week of my summer vacation as a little child at a town in Malaga, at the south of Spain, with one of my dad's closest friends and his wife and daughters, who I got along so well with. During my first summer there, I saw them playing a mysterious game (ACWW) in their DS's, and I was curious about it. They allowed me to play it (always by my side to make sure I didn't mess up anything accidentally), and I ended up liking it and wondering how good my grades from 1st term of school that next schoolyear for my dad to buy it for me (he bought me a DS game every time a school term ended as a reward for my good grades). But I didn't need to wait that much. Some days after that, we had arranged to meet outside of a shop where we used to meet in the morning to go out for the rest of the day, and I thought we had arrived early, since there wasn't any sign of them around. But then, both of my friends ran out of the shop, and gave me a copy of ACWW they had bought for me. I thanked them a lot, and I remember that day as a very sweet childhood memory. And the rest is history! I've had every AC game since then :)

My friend played Wild World on the bus to school and at football games several years ago and I started playing then.

Internet, I'm a huge harvest moon fan and while browsing their forums, I read that Animal Crossing might be a good alternative and you can customize your house. I immediately asked my brother to buy it. I've never been hooked to a game for 3 FRKN YEARS!

I played some of the original game cube one, and had some fun with it but also realized that it wasn't quite my thing. Years later, ACNL was near it's launch date and everyone was making such a big fuss over how great it was gonna be that i decided to buy it when it came out and give it a shot. I have wasted sooo much time on this game lol.

Back when Wild World came out my husband (then boyfriend) told me I should try the game because I would like it. I played it for years, and now i'm addicted to new leaf!

My cousins were playing it on the Gamecube. I saw K.K. slider singing and I was like, what's that? Then cute animals took over and I wanted it!

I think I found out from an article in an imported US magazine about AC:GC. I then devoured information online until it released over here YEARS LATER.

New Leaf I found out about from that first tiny mention it got at E3 2010. And then waited in physical pain for 3 years. TT_TT

I feel I've spent a large portion of my life waiting for AC games to release. xD And now I sit and scream every time Nintendo does something that doesn't end up anouncing AC Wii U.
