how did you find out about AC/ACNL?

as the title says, how did you find out about AC or ACNL? i was just in a game shop one day browsing a for a new 3ds game and i saw this box that has reaally cute art and cute animals on it so i read the description of the game and it sounds fun so i bought it. that was how i came to know ACNL.

My sister had wild world, and she let me try it out. I absolutely loved it and from then on I went on to collect the majority of the games in the series and haven't put them down since. At first I thought it was a little weird that you could talk to animals, but I grew to love them.

I had ACNL in my hands several times whenever I was at the store. And I always ended up not buying it because it sounded lame u___u oh my god I was SO wrong...
Then I stumbled across the forums (this one and some other pages) and after like an hour of reading I knew I NEEDED it asap, so the next day I went and bought it in my lunch break

I was looking for something new to play so my boyfriend let me play his Wild World game and I thought it was really cute and fell in love with the beautiful music. He ended up gifting me New Leaf a year ago and I haven't been able to put the game down. He eventually got NL for himself so we often play together. Eventually, I got my own copy of Wild World, HHD, and amiibo Festival so I'm definitely a fan now. I'm a sucker for games with heavy customization. I love this game. <3

My sister introduced me to the gamecube version when I was really little. I always got really angry when she won the fishing tournaments.
I've been playing ever since. AC is and always will be my favorite game ever.

My boyfriend got it for himself because he used to play animal crossing as a kid and was excited about it :3 I had never played animal crossing before, but he told me he thought I'd love it. I tried it, and sure enough I played it so much, he got me my own copy and my own ds for my birthday c: Two years later, I have the same town and the same ds.

I knew AC before ACNL... but i got ACNL through a close friend that loved ACNL... i watched him play on Halloween... soaking in a crapton of nostalgia... i went to gamestop and got it soon after that

This mean girl who used to babysit me had it on gamecube and she never let me play! One day I found the gamecube version at a fleamarket, bought it and played for a little while (literally little because i didn't know the whole game was beat when I started so I got bored really quick.) and then bought the DS version which I played forevvvver. My parents bought me new leaf when it came out

I heard about AC in elementary school, but I never got it, though I highly considered it. Then, finally in middle school, I got my own ds and bought WW and now, I have NL.

I learned about AC:CF from two friends in an American Girl doll collecting forum! I got the game and wasn't that into it. Then, when New Leaf came out, I'd been wanting a 3DS to play on the subway. I got the new leaf 3ds xl and the rest is history! I played daily for almost two years, but for the past year have gone through periods of weeks where I don't open the game.

I got to ACNL when i first saw my friend playing it on her 3ds. I was kinda curious on what she was playing so i asked her and she lent me the game for a little while and i fell in love with the game immediately. After that i asked my mom to get me a 3ds and also ACNL. ACNL is basically my first 3ds game and the main reason why i even got a 3ds.

originally I heard about it through friends and stuff, but I didn't play it until I worked at gamestop and NL came out. bought it on a whim and completely fell in love :')

 

[Animal Crossing Rocks]

I went into Gamestop with my Mom and within the past few months got a Gamecube (I was 8) and we were looking around and a sales rep suggested Animal Crossing, and I got it.

One memory I have of playing the game is that I would sit in a bean bag chair and play that game for a long period of time and eventually fall asleep and later I would wake up and continue to play it. I am pretty sure this happened alot lol.

I loved playing that game so much that eventually when it was out, my parents got Wild World for me, and I loved that version even more lol. Then City Folk came, and I got it for Christmas and enjoyed that one too!! Then fast forward to the New Leaf release, and I got it the day it came out. I was the only person in the store to either pre-order the game, or the game guide (I can't remember which lol.)

Today, New Leaf is my favorite version, and the Gamecube version is my least favorite lol. Not sure if I like Wild World more or City Folk more.

i saw it was popular on tumblr and after i got a 3ds i was like "i can play animal crossing new leaf now!" i'd never played an animal crossing game before, so i guess it was a good introduction to the series.

don't get mad at me for not playing the first few games i was born in 2001
