I was really excited for paths before this game came out, but I gotta say, I get frustrated with the limitations they have. I wish we could:
*Change the tile of the plaza to match
*Round off the edges/ends of single width paths, not just double width paths
*Create diagonal paths
*Have in-game tools for odd paths like stepping stones, wooden planks
I get that you can use designs for stepping stones/wooden planks, but when your character runs over them, it sounds like a yoga mat that got Coke spilled on it. Imagine in-game wooden planks that sound like wood and aren't too big/clunky. I tried using the wood pathing and doing like 2x1 strips and spacing them apart...it looked really bad. Also, Happy Home designer had rugs you could place outside, so it's not like you couldn't have small floor items too.
I have another thing about paths that isn't quite distinct enough to form a separate thread....have any of you guys plagiarized the Hell out of a wooden plank pattern because the colors weren't right and/or you wanted to mash up different features from different peoples' sets? I'm mid-plagiarizing right now and I'm just gonna write down the original designers so that, in the rare event someone asks me about my janky bootleg paths, I can say "I based these after these two different designers"
The dark ones are from Kanda Em and I can't find the light ones anymore but when I go to erase them it says "Are you sure you want to delete Risa* 's design?". The ones in the middle are me copying
