How close to real life is your in-game villager avatar?

I like to think my villager is what I would look like if I didn't have a job and could really be that edgy to have blue/silver/gray hair hahaha

It's pretty similar for the most part. The only difference is that my hair in game has a slight bit of purple mixed in with a warm brown, where as in real life my hair is super dark brown. I've tried experimenting with different eye colour and hair colour combinations, but unless i'm cosplaying a certain character in game, I prefer my character to look like I do irl for the most part.

my character basically looks like me. id like to change the hair color, hairstyle, and eye color sometimes but whenever i do it just feels kinda wrong, even tho the change looks way better w/ my outfits. hopefully one day i wont be so weird about it bc the customization options in this game r nice.

Mines somewhat close as the eye and hair colour is the same but that's where the similarities end. Tried to make him look fancy as possible :D

Similar in hair, eye type, skin tone and the beauty mark I added as a custom design. That’s all though. I have brown eyes irl, while they have green, and the way I dress is cozier irl compare to their waistcoats and loafers.

Mine is sort of similar, as close as I could get with the hair. The facial features though, probably aren't much like mine at all, I just went with what I thought looked cutest, honestly.

My character does not resemble me, but I don’t really try to match to to look like me. I try to match them to look like my new leaf game character. My hair is pretty dark brown (looks almost back and brown eyes). I don’t really go around in real life wearing two braids (which is what my character wears).

I mainly base them on characters I have created.

She's kind of similar, with the brown hair, blue eyes and light skin tone but that's about it. I don't wear the hairstyle I wear irl and I don't wear the same type of clothes as irl either I'm a female Jotaro rn lmao

Just my skin tone, I guess. Usually I don't want to look like myself in any game.

I like being goofy with appearance and clothes than irl where I'm in casual-fancy attire. It's fun to be opposite.

I feel like it's changed depending on the game/over the years. In WW I made 4 characters, 2 male and 2 female, and none of them shared my name or looked like me (but then making them look like me wasn't really an option because I never unlocked Shampoodle lol). In NL my characters were both fictional as well - one shared my hair and eye color, the other was more her own thing.

In NH I was going to use a name other than my real name, but peer pressure from knowing most of my RL friends I was going to play it with would use their real names made me change my mind. I couldn't give my character my hair color because they didn't include the medium-brown hair color in this game, so I went with turquoise hair instead and that's how it be. Eye and skin color are the same still

My player character mostly based on my OC, so... She's nowhere near being similar to me.

Ehh kind of.

There is a haircut that was close to mine, and the right shade, but the eyes aren't quite the right shade of color they need to be.
I tend to wear normal guy clothes IRL but in-game I like wearing flower designs, denim cuts, short sleeves shirts, dresses, animal costumes, purses...basically lotsa "cute" things.

I used face paint to add my face mole (beauty mark, w/e). I've always wanted pastel hair, but I don't want to spend the money to have it bleached professionally/ I don't want to bleach it myself. It's nice to be able to have pastel hair in game (I use the stormy blue as seen in my profile picture). I just picked the greyish stormy eyes because they look well together :) My character also has more confident outfits wearing a tee, jean shorts, fishnet tights, and black converse. (Maybe one day I'll have confidence for fishnets in real life <3 )

She looks a lot like me, except I wish that there was a hair color somewhere in-between dark brown and straight up blonde because that’s where my hair color is. I had it blonde for a little while but ultimately switched it back to brown, because it looked cuter.

My hairstyle swaps between the low ponytail and the high bun, depending on whether I’m wearing a hat or not. I never tie my hair up irl because it makes my face look like a hard boiled egg.

I tend to be a lot more adventurous with my fashion choices, wearing things that I wouldn’t normally chose irl like tank tops and maxi skirts. Basically, my AC character is a more idealized version of myself :p

Not similar at all! I tend to play as male characters in most games, whereas I'm a girl.

For me, it's more fun to have freedom and not be constrained to "something that looks like me", in a sense -- I'd rather look at a character design that matches what I think is cute. 'w')9

Sort of like an ideal character? There's sometimes overlap with my IRL self, like hair length, but that's because I style my hair after my characters hehe... not the reverse.

Mine is very close to real life. I do change the color from my blue to other shades on the character, and I change the hairstyle to go with outfits, but the feel of it is right.

I also don't wear the cute outfits. Wish I could, but I do it vicariously through my character.
