How close to real life is your in-game villager avatar?

I picked some stuff that was similar. The eye shape is just the one I've used for years. I don't think it necessarily looks like mine, but it's pretty and I like it so it's been my choice through many titles. I've always just chosen to name the character after myself. In other game titles, I sometimes make OC's if I feel like doing so, but in Animal Crossing, I just play as me.

My character usually looks like me, pale skin blue eyes black hair, but sometimes I’ll switch it up a bit and make a creative character but after a day of playing it I change it back. I just feel more comfortable this way I guess.

Pretty close except my villager has grey hair & my hair is blonde. He dresses pretty casual just like me lol. I always have the yellow bunny hood on though in-game and I wouldn't wear that in real life.

My main character isn't altogether like me, at least she isn't intended to be. Some of the furniture and stuff in her house sort of fits my interests, but I might change that in the future. Her name, eyes, hair, skin, etc. aren't based one me at all.

I intend to make additional characters, none of whom will be based on me either. My main character, as well as all the others I plan to make in the future, are based around different time periods and cultures of the world, since the theme of my island is world history.

my mom keeps saying i look like my villager, but i feel like it’s mostly because of the clothes. i definitely have the same style in-game. i think it does look like me, just with a colorful hair color (i change from time to time)

My animal crossing character looks like me when I was younger and had shorter hair.

Now I have long hair. I either wear it down or in a bun. I didn't like the choices available in game at first glance, but I do remember seeing a bun.

I did same eye color, same hair length/color, same skin tone, put freckles on my face, and I added blush bc my cheeks are naturally red!

At first I tried to make her as close to exactly like me as I could (down to the little freckle I have under my eye!) but I decided after a bit to make her hair that super cute, spikey, short "boy" style. She's me but way cuter! lol

I wear similar clothes in real life, but have different hair in AC. This hair would be a pain in the butt to maintain in real life!

i'd say my character is as close to me as i could get, spaghetti arms and all

Pretty realistic. I don't want to get into too many details but we both stick great white sharks into our pants with relative ease.

My character is pretty close to how I look in real life, brown hair and brown eyes, except sometimes I like to make my character's hair pink. I dress my character with clothes I'd wear in real life, especially birkenstocks lol.

Nowhere near. My AC character may dress like me (in that he loves to wear dresses), but his hair isn't the same, his eyes aren't, his sorta headcanoned behavior isn't. He's just a dude. A McDude.

My villager is pretty close to me in terms of appearance!
I have brown eyes, and my hair is dyed purple atm!

So my In-game character matches that!
However, she does dress... ALOT CUTER than i do in rl lmao.

But it makes me really happy cuz, when i get PFP's of my island rep, i can use them as icons in un-related places since they look like me in RL

I don't usually try to make my player look like myself but in NH my player looks pretty much just like me. We both have relatively long hair with straight-cut bangs (hair color in-game is slightly darker cause there isn't really a color in-game that matches mine), we both wear glasses (but mine are black while my player's are purple), and ofc our fashion sense matches because why wouldn't it? My player often wears jeans and the shoes that looks like Converse cause that's p much all I wear when I go out, and I have an assortment of shirts, sweaters, and hoodies that i would totally wear irl.

Mine is about as close as it gets, although I think her hair is a little darker and she’s less afraid of wearing pastels than I am, haha.
