How bad are your villager's homes?

Really bad.. Some of them only have like few furniture in their homes and some of them have their place full of some crap For example Francine's home has her own music player, her own table and otherwise it's just stuff I have given her, like golden furniture and moon or something like that xD
Marshal only has his sloppy stereo left of all his sloppy stuff. I couldn't even buy half of them, when he just replaced them with other furniture I gave him..

Almost all of my villagers houses are ruined now. The only house intact is Elise, whom I just got recently.

Oh my... I shudder to think about my villagers' houses.
I used to give them whatever they wanted. Then their houses became ruins, and I cringed whenever I go to their houses. Recently I decided to stop being lazy and start to fix their houses.

However the damage is already done... Most of them still have mismatched furnitures xD;
The worst got to be Pekoe's house. She has horrendous lovely furnitures combined with uh, an exotic bed and some fishes.
Papi's not too bad, however he lost his bed and replaced it with a huge fossil.
I'm also upset that Sterling replaced his awesome gorgeous furnitures with ugly looking ranch items :x

At the moment I'm trying to repair the damage by sending their original items/items that I think suits them. So far Francine's house looks the best with all those blue polka dot items!

I literally just give them whatever they ask for, so all of their houses are a total mess. They pick the weirdest placements for stuff, too! Lol. I don't care about originality, I just get a good laugh out of how bad/mismatched everything is

My villager's homes are a complete utter mess. Reason why I reject their invitations to go their house to hang out haha!

I'm setting up my villagers houses. Zells is probably my least favourite even though I've had Rosie the longest. He still had some original furniture I'm hoping to get him some stools to replace the two random shirts he has displayed

I try to keep them original, but I do try to switch out pieces I don't like so much, or get ride of their fish/bugs when they put them up. So some have the same furniture, just in different spots. But I try to maintain a theme. I've reworked Coco's house, and I like it much more than the original.

I've kept my villagers houses pretty decent, even Bam & Coco who were in my original 5. I just sent them lots of gifts c:

I just give them random stuff they ask for and don't usually send them furniture.

It's pretty mixed. Some I have been more active at keeping nice or substituting nicer furniture. I always turn down requests for fish and bugs. I will let them have the occasional butterfly though.
It seems quite a few of them refuse to go home though. Almost as if they know I will be horrified by what they have done.
Some I am not as fussy with as I am with others. I try to make sure Marshal, Erik and Merengue keep their houses in theme.
Others too, but I can't remember specifically.
The first time I really realized what I had done I went on a mission to fix everyone's homes. I bought tons of furniture and sent everyone ten letters, in hopes they would use them wisely.

They are all wreak. I really don't care what they put in their homes. In NL it feels like fighting a losing battle.

Cherry and Rolf are my only villagers with normal homes. Before Nana moved, she had a cardboard sofa in place of her mermaid couch, bugs all over every dresser surface, and a bathroom stall in the corner. That's how bad it got.

Doesn't not letting them get new furniture and deliveries take some of the fun from the game? I like swapping furniture with my neighbours and delivering parcels, and if I get a chance I try give them something nice - their houses still look fine, just not 'original'

I have Cousteau, my longest staying villager. He only has his exotic screen and a few Asian things. But the rest is all jumbled up.

tbh the way i've always looked at it is like a stuffed animal - the more tattered and worn the stuffed animal is, the more it's been loved. the more unoriginal and beat up a villagers' house, the more they've been loved. it's like proof that they've been through a lot with me. if that makes sense? so i don't mind what they put in their houses at all. :3

Apple's was probably the worst, she kept putting closets and chairs facing the wall (??? u dumb hamster) but now it's alright!!
I try to not send my villagers nice stuff/don't give them anything other villagers deliver so all my villagers' houses are pretty nice now haha

THIS, GOD, APPLE. She kept selling all her furniture so I bought back her lovely closet thing and sent it back to her. Went to visit to see if she put it to use and it's facing the wall. This is the third time she's done this. Damn you Apple...
