How are people getting the Wedding furniture??

It starts on June 1st so I time traveled to that date because people are trying to sell it for around 300nmt
And when I do nothing happens?
Is it hacks or do I have the date wrong?

Hacking. Although the data for each item is in the game and can be viewed on wikis and item databases, no events past nature day are actually in yet and will likely need another update to be properly activated. I tried TTing to them myself just to see if they'd work and none of them did.

Some try to be nice and hand over hacked items to be nice. Though, for ones who trade, I guess it's the feeling of being cool, I guess?

As others have said, it has to be hacked, because Nintendo has locked the events to real time, as per their update patch notes.

Ehh, they could just as easily release a patch tomorrow removing the items from the game until June 1st, then everyone has blew NMT on nothing.

It's very (very) unlikely but...something to bear in mind, I guess.

I don't really think waiting for them to release is that big of a deal in comparison.
