I bought Animal crossing the day it launched "Had to do it digitally ;-; "0

The day it came out, I went to an AC forums to have some fun in other towns while I waited for my tent to finish building, and so many forums were exploding for weeks! What I'm asking is, do people still randomly ask to join other towns for fun, and offer services and turnip prices etc etc? I just restarted my town, for a fresh start. :D

Yep I guess so! Well, I noticed the community isn't as active as before, but there are still many active players :)

in the past, I also was active on another AC-site (accommunity ...) ; that forum is toooooootaalllly dead now - hardly anything happening there

bellteeforums is still "pretty" active compared to that; probably since is waaaaay better organized, has more members and has by far a better layout

but yes, I think it's normal that after two years, the hype is a bit worn out

Such a shame.. I mean I had my fill myself when the game first came out but, i'd like to visit some people now! And perhaps have services on my town/turnips sold etc etc XD

im newer to the fanbase, but im really glad that there is still such a huge community like on the bell tree!

I've been playing since 2013 (on my main game) I'm not as active as I was but I still check in on my towns. This site still seems to have many active players, I've seen people offering to let others over for turnip selling in the train station forum and selling items in retail forum so you should find what you need there :).

Honestly, I'd say that it's pretty active. Yeah sure, it may not be as active as it was 2 years ago, but what game is? Of course people move onto other games eventually, but I'd say that ACNL is still extremely active. Hell, even the old Animal Crossing games are still active. I see people still playing City Folk and Wild World! Plus, there are hundreds of people trading on these forums every single day, so I'd say it's still active.

Well i'm glad the game's still alive and kicking ^^ I just picked the game back up with a fresh start, and I was thinking of playing with a few new friends if I can make any :D

I was still active until the day my ds got a problem and i need to send it for repair so that i can continue my game
^^"

I think the communities go through quiet periods in-between releases. I think we will see a huge activity spike when Happy Home Designer comes out, and I do think AC:wiiU is on the way, so there will be more activity when that is announced/released as well.

I recently got back into playing and I also noticed how things weren't as active, especially on animalcrossing community. Belltreeforums is by far more active, which is why I just joined. I wish the community were more active, it was so much fun.

A couple of the boards I belong to are quiet. Another is busy with new players. Noticed that when visiting the Club Tortimer Island alot of player got it when it was free thru Nintendo Club or for the summer. Just checked their TPC card.

I still play every day and started on the release date. I just started another new town in April and having a blast.

The fandom isn't as active as when New Leaf came out 2 years ago.

I'm glad that its still alive and kicking, but without a new game coming out for sometime now, it'll take a while before the fandom explodes again.

I got the game a few months ago and I am really happy people are still active on here. I've met a good few people who have been really kind and awesome to me and I am thankful for it and for this site

I reset a while back and just got my town on May 23rd, but the hype has definitely died over the past two years. Some people have left, some people hardly play, some people are resetting still, and some people have had their towns for two years (some might even be playing just as much since the release). I tend to get bored after a while if I don't like my town layout, so I guess I'm a resetter, but I really like my current town and I'm hoping that I'll keep it for a long time. 。^‿^。

I'd say this AC community is still very active, but naturally the hype has died down in the two years New Leaf has been around.

I still play daily and currently have three towns, but that's mostly because I don't want to risk any of my perma-villagers leaving.

It's still active, I see topics all the time of people inviting others to their town, and every week I buy turnips, and every week I always manage to sell them! Still a pretty active community.

im rather worried about the activity of the acnl community now that ac:hhd is confirmed to come out. i mean, tons and tons of people dropped out of wold world, city folk, etc. when acnl came out, so i feel like i'll be left out if i dont get the game. on the other hand, even if i do, what am i supposed to do with my acnl town?? i just feel kind of disoriented by this.

I'm pretty bored with it honestly. I have two copies of the game, one is 'frozen' so to speak (left when a villager asked to move) and the other I'm still checking daily to see if anyone asks so I can 'freeze' that one too. There is no excitement left in the game, it's become kind of a chore. Having to check daily or lose villagers is the issue. I worked hard to get my towns to where they are (adopting villagers, plot resetting, etc) and I don't want to lose anything but I don't want to play either. I can't wait until I can pause my second town so that I don't have to play. The only thing that kind of sucks is that if I ever do want to play randomly one day, I have to go back into the cycle of checking again every day to stop move-outs if I want to pause again. That feature of losing villagers if you don't play really, really has to go.
