This may not be your thing but my most favorite room is my Sci-Fi themed room. I have all the Sci-Fi items mixed in with the blue and black refurbished astro set. But I'm just a huge Sci-Fi fan.

My other favorite room in my whimsical forest/naturethemed room. Tree standees, hedge standees, grass standees, wildflower floor, princess cage, Cupid bench, hydrangea bed, violet screen, lily record player, lily lamp, etc... It's just beautiful, I love it.

I usually go for themes that interest me. For instance, I like to garden and read. I also really like Disney and retro kids cartoons.Think about your hobbies and interests. Maybe you can come up with a fun idea.

Cafes are pretty common to see on this game, but they are a lot of fun to create.I try to make themed ones that I haven't seen done before.

Apple mentioned a hotel. I always thought a Holiday theme would be fun, but with themes you don't usually see. Like, 4th of July, Valentines day, St. Patricks day, Thanksgiving, New Years, etc. These themes could make some really colorful rooms.

Do you like dogs or cats? I think a doggy daycare would be cute. or a pet shop.

I wish you could make a craft room - baskets of yarn, sewing boxes, fabric, etc. Something like that could be very cozy.

Edit: Actually, someone just told me that there is a loom and a sewing machine, so that would be a start. Maybe some patterns to put on cushions of other items to fill in.

Yeah, this idea is a good idea.

If you want to know why I use the partition screen, it's to avoid mixing themes and series. You can use the aurora screen instead if using the Astro Series, Robo Series, Snowman Series, Ice Series, or Jingle Series to divide your room like that since the aurora screen is good for both the winter and sci-fi themes.

I never see any love for the fruit style furniture, but i love my fruit/dessert slushy bar in the main room of my house..... then I have an upstairs swank restaurant and then cabana island/ winter themed/ and posh rococo bedrooms too, you usually will be drawn to some furniture and you should just go with that and other instincts

and my basement is temple? ancient? theme... with triforce/ master sword and customized ore furniture to make it seem like a secret temple room filled with treasure, you can visit my town in the DA in my sig

Make a backyard. With a lawn mower, barbecue, backyard pool, picnic table, etc. You could use the backyard lawn and backyard fence wallpaper too!
