historic scenery!

aside from all the flower fun this week, i'm really super excited about the release of the historic scenery!
anyone have any plans or any lineups they're hoping to achieve with the use of historic scenery?

i personally know i want to get 5 night sky sceneries but i just don't know exactly what times i'm gonna configure them to​

I'd like to get 5 ancient sky grass sceneries, to be able to put just about any valid combination of sky stuff on top

on a side note too, I wonder if the 5 cap is just to prevent people from going too ham on and if it'll be possible to get more for future events as well

2020 so it can go behind even the dog plush.

I also grabbed a 2015 snowstorm because christmas collectibles are always cute.

or

I grabbed 3 night sky ones to help my dragon.

It was either I worked on it or try and work on my bees and ice cream swirl.

The Historic Scenery is such a neat idea!! Idk if I will be able to acquire enough TBT in time to buy some but hopefully it will come back in the future.

I'd get two Cloud Scenery.. this line-up could finally be possible though I'd need to find more aliens with the right dates

A flower-y version but unlikely I'd be able to find White Cosmos dated between the UFO/Alien historic flowers when

I haven’t been super interested in the sceneries, but older dated sceneries have definitely piqued my interest…

I bought 4 historic night sky sceneries earlier and will now spend the next week terrified that I somehow messed up the unix timestamps asdfghjkl

I’m aiming for this lineup the most:

but I’ll also be able to do this one!

Could also put the magical fireworks between the prismatic and frost eggs when it’s active !!

I’m thinking about maybe snagging a snowstorm scenery as well since I have a lineup in mind… but I’d need 2 and there’s the limit of 5 but I might snag one anyways and hope that historic sceneries come back again so that I can get the 2nd…

Same! I do like them and want to get some eventually. I love the night sky one especially. I might grab some before the event ends, once I’m done buying flowers. I’m also going to buy a Leif too.

I love scenery but I've been Very Focused on the flowers, so I haven't hardly thought about it yet ;w; Nor have I financially recovered from buying my gold watering can

My first thought was to aim for a variety with very old dates, and grab one of each of the sky, sky and grass, snowstorm, playful, and night sky, but now I'm thinking it may be better to get two of a certain type to fully frame some of my older collectibles. It's tough because I like all of these options, but I'll probably get two night skies and two daytime skies for this purpose. For the last slot I'll probably either grab an extra one of either of those two, or one of the other ones, I haven't quite decided yet.

I really like the idea of the Historic Scenery. I don't know whether I'll actually invest in any or not because I'm huffing a bit of hopium that maybe, somehow, I might be able to afford the Golden Watering Can before the end of the week if I try hard enough. Admittedly very unlikely, but hey.

That said, this really opened my eyes to the possibilities:

Bravo @MiniPocketWorld, that is a thing of beauty.

I've tended to purchase single rows of whatever scenery is available at the time, but having the two on the ends of the bottom row looks really good. Definitely something I'm going to have to consider. In the realistic event that I don't earn enough TBT in time for the Golden Watering Can, I might have to pick up some Historic Sceneries.

I'm definitely excited by the historic scenery but I'm still not fully sure on what I'll do with it. I want to get a snowstorm scenery to go with my bunnies for sure and probably some night sky scenery too but I'll have to ponder dates for that.

I hope the historic scenery will make more comebacks (and with more designs). I would love to see an underwater scenery to go with the 2021 Camp Bell Tree collectibles and the beach scenery please!

this is such a cool mechanic actually cause i was just thinking lately like ugh why didn't they release the night sky scenary sooner so i can do such and such lineups. i'm hoping that they will let us do this with other collectibles in the future. one can dream and hope

Managed to save back up to half of what I spent for my golden watering can... to immediately spend it all on historic scenery!! Wound up going for three night skies and two regular skies. I got two night skies to frame my star fragments, and one to go behind my moons from Space Camp, and regular sky sceneries to frame my old feathers.
Hoping snowstorm, playful, and sky/grass make a comeback for historic scenery in the future!! I would've loved to grab a few of those too if not for the cap (and my lack of funds) ;v;

I'm so happy I managed to save up enough bells to buy all 5 of the max allowed historic sceneries so now in addition to getting the snowstorm scenery that was my main plan I've also bought 4 night sky scenery to go in between all of my green star fragments

i ended up configuring all 5 of the historic sceneries i purchased! i ended up going with what i originally thought i'd do with the 5 of them. i went with framing some of my early nightsky collectibles to help fill out the bottom row to make little half lineups that i can work with

now here's hoping i configured them all correctly....i keep double checking the unix codes/timestamps cause i don't trust myself

mine should hopefully be set to just before the 2013 fair went live with the very first sky background collectibles

I'm sad I missed these last time, but I'm glad they're back! I just wish I were good enough at planning lineups to figure out what types of scenery or timestamps might be helpful! I almost wonder if I should just get a variety of scenery with the oldest timestamps so I can use them as bookends in the future. Or does it make sense to get some to trade with others later since they're somewhat limited? I do like to be helpful when I can

I missed out on the historic sceneries last year. I think I'll probably get at least three night sky sceneries, but I'm not sure what I'll do for the other two yet. And I'm not sure exactly when I want to configure the night sky sceneries to either. I'll need to look through my inventory and try to think it through more~

So far I picked up an enchanted Forest background. I'm not so sure if I'll pick up another background or not. I'll have to think about it it, but I am considering maybe the starry sky or maybe the purple one whatever it's called.
