Don't forget, it comes to PC after the PS4. ;) Which is especially exciting; he really knows how to optimize for PC.

While I'm positive he'll make something similar to MGS, I'm still really hoping he'll make a reboot (of sorts) of what was to be Silent Hills. I don't have a PS4, but I watched an LP and the P.T. demo looked fantastic. It was an absolute shame to hear it was cancelled, and I know I'm not the only one who felt that way, lol.

I imagine he might just drop the MGS thing and try something new. He's said after like every game that it was his last Metal Gear, so maybe now that he can't touch the series (unless, yano, Konami gave him the licence...whilst riding their flying pigs) he'll take it as an opportunity to try new things rather than a successor to it.

I wouldn't mind him trying new things. The new IP's he's worked on have mostly been pretty good, but he doesn't really do it much.

The Q&A said it was something completely new, but the Q&A was also a bunch of "we can't disclose that". I'm personally hoping it's a continuation of what he was doing for Silent Hills under another title, and that the people working on that (Del Toro, Junji Ito) are still onboard. Del Toro did state he was still planning to work with Kojima on something after all. But I don't want to get excited until things are more certain.

I think Kojima made a smart choice in setting up an independent studio, though. Maybe being screwed over by Konami like he has been for the last year made him distrust large game companies, so he decided not to sign up with an established studio. It also doesn't put a limit on his creativity.

Is it a full-on studio with other staff and stuff or is it just him right now?

Anyway, I think he's already said that it's gonna be a MGS-inspired game, but I can't remember where I saw it. Still interested in what he's gonna make. :)

We know that Imaizumi and Shinkawa joined the new Kojima Productions, though there's no news on who else might have joined. (Fingers crossed for Sasaki.) The company's website also has a bunch of career options listed, for which people can apply. It's currently still in the beginning phases, but Kojima is aiming for a full studio.
