How long was your longest hiatus from ACNL? I'm just curious. I took a few days off after I got my job because I got distracted by other games, and life in general. It was only about for or five days, but Bob almost moved. He's my favorite animal in the game! I'm glad I caught him before he left. So I was just wondering how long some of your hiatuses were, and what happened to your town while you were gone?

For me it was a couple of months. Nothing happened to my town other than weeds and stuff like that, since I always make sure to tell a villager to stay before I stop playing (if it's planned) or to go back and do that (if it's not).

I actually just found out that Phoebe left. Not gonna lie, that kind of hurts. She's been in my town for just about forever now. Honestly, personality wise, we never really clicked, but I liked her because her design is based off of the phoenix and that happens to be my favorite mythological creature. And now I gotta fix my sig........later.

From ACNL it's a couple of months. From AC in general (mostly WW) It's a year or something like that. My interest in AC can be very on/off. I always write my last play-date down though, that way I can TT back to make sure no one moves while I haven't been playing (:

7 months was the longest hiatus for me, yiiiikes. :p the worst thing that happened was I lost some of my fave villagers, but oh well.

You can usually keep villagers from moving, do you need help with knowing how to do that or did you accidentally start as your mayor?

From July until October. I was in a depressive slump.
but I had the beautiful town ordinance in place so not much was really affected.
hadn't gotten any of my dreamies yet though & nobody moved anyways.

My longest hiatus was around 9 months. I stopped playing around January 2014 and started playing again in October.

My longest was a full week or 9 days, only because I got in trouble and had a bordering F in my hardest class. I passed that class thankfully but I can't play ACNL as often because I need to concentrate on classes.

A month, and that happened during the summer.

To be honest, I got live and crap to do, not to mention the game gets boring after a while.

I have had this game since July of 2013. I have never played the game in September. My longest hiatus was about 5 months.

About 6 months on Animal Crossing New Leaf. I just lose my passion after a while and forget to set myself another goal and get distracted by other games/life. Its fun to come back and your town is in a total different season and you think - right how can I fit my town around this season? I never get too attached to my Villagers because them coming and going is part of the game, my opinion may change there if Chow left my original town. I love that guy!

My extra town was shut for 3 months and I made sure to stop Vic from moving. Wrote the date down and had a beautiful set.
Instead of going with the date last played I went with the date Isabelle said it was on.
Went back into the house and Vic was knocking on the door for a visit. The villagers weren't too mad at the mayor.
Boomer gave me the rumor about a mover 10 minutes into the game. Save/quit. Started up and stopped the mover. Different villagers were outside and I was able to talk to all ten. The next day Boomer gave me his picture after I gave him some perfect fruit.

Only needed to pick up some flowers and dig up some stars.

There was a period of time (probably around 2 months) where I was on "hiatus" - I wasn't involved with the community and I would only play every few days for ~5 minutes to make sure nobody was moving out. Eventually it didn't work and Yuka, one of my favourite villagers, moved out. After that, I stopped playing completely for another 2 months until about a week ago.

I took a two month hiatus around the release of Pok?mon X and Y and my town was "devastated" by it. I've sort of been on a hiatus since September, so 4 months. I'm trying to reset for a better layout and because my last hiatus made me hate my town so I've been map resetting in between sessions of Pokemon Alpha Sapphire.
