I want to redecorate my town with shrubs
And I want to know if new shrubs grow or wilt in between old ones like so.

I now have

XXXXXXXXXXXX

X = old shrubs

And I want to know if O would wilt or grow

XOXOXOXOXOXO

O = new shrubs

It should be fine. Shrubs will wilt if they're planted right next to a house or cliff, or the edge of the river.They also wilt if you have more than 12 touching eachother.

I'd try these. Helping my friends landscape, we didn't have any problems. From what these guides say, there's a possibility your bushes could die. :c

They will grow as long as there arent more than twelve in a row, and they aren't directly by a building or cliff, like thegreatbrain said. Seeing as you already grew shrubs in that location and you're just replacing them, you should be fine.
