I've been thinking about making another character to make a cafe or hotel sort of thing and I wasnt sure if anyone else has decided to do this in NH or not!
It was really common in NL but I dont think I've seen anyone do it yet in NH?

How many players are in your town? Do they have set themes?

I have 2 characters cause I wanted both a boy and girl lol

JoJo is basically an OC and has been my AC character for ages, so he's my main, then I have Kasumi who is supposed to be a Japanese Inari and has an Asian-themed house

I probably will at some point, but right now it is too soon for me. I still have so many other things to do. I was the same in New Leaf - - I made extra characters, but it took a little longer than this before I got around to it. :)

Yes, but I deleted one to make room on the island. The other one doesn't even have a house/tent, so they technically live in the town hall

The second account can make cleanup of trees and items easier since stuff gets teleported to the recycle bin.

No, I added extra characters in NL primarily for storage (before Welcome Amiibo) so I haven't seen much need. I might add one extra character in the future so the map displays even at 10 villagers, but that depends on if I have enough ideas to fill 6 more rooms!

Oh really? I had no idea it did that!!! Is that only when playing both characters via local play?

Yeah I made an extra character for a Cafe, but if we get the roost I'll turn her house into something else, I also have plans on adding a hotel, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Of course I did.

Marcus is the nature lover that has a farm area in the bottom right of town.

And Hailey has a fancy restaurant right next to the farm area at the bottom right of town.

It would seem that they both work together to keep their businesses booming. (I made this part up ok.)

I did in NL to store things. NL had so many non-reorderable items. NH has a lot less non-reorderable items, and a large chunk of those are DIYs that you can make again if you have the materials. You also get a lot of storage.

At least at the moment, I don't plan to make another character. If things change with updates where there gets to be too many non-reorderable items that I can't store *or* if I get good ideas and want another house to decorate, then I might.

Not yet! I'm still working on my own house, but I have an empty stretch of space I plan on making into a mini shopping district. I want a "hotel" and a "mall" for that part of town. I have the bells at least, so it's just a matter of actually finishing my house up (my basement is still untouched!) and then I can get started.

i have! my current side character, juniper, is themed around nature and the four different seasons. i’ll also be creating another character in the future whose theme will be relaxation/coping mechanisms

Yep! I made a forest witch who lives in the wilderness section. I'm also going to make a 3rd character eventually to make a community center type of thing. I was planning on waiting longer before making alt characters, but I pulled the trigger early so I could play local co-op with my gf occasionally, and also get twice as much gulliver stuff when he eventually shows up (need that moai lol)

i'm probably going to eventually, once i have my island layed out a bit more to my liking. how many depends on what shops the devs add. i was thinking of making a cafe or diner, but if they add the roost i might just make it an outdoor thing (for example).

I did not want to have any extra characters... but I'm tired of the limitations of designing spaces outside (no rugs, can't hang wall stuff on cliff sides or panels, can't put items in center of 4x4 tables)
I made my first alt yesterday. I'll likely make my 2nd alt in about a week, I want to get more money saved up first so I can upgrade their homes.
I plan to model them similarly to how I modeled the alt homes in my NL town.

I play with my friend who has lost interest in playing AC. If he ever wants me to get rid of his house, I'll probably make a second player.
