Have you ever reset a town?

I did once, I just didn't like the way things were coming along & decided to wipe everything out. I don't see myself resetting this one, though. I don't have a reason.

Once. And that's cause I took a year off after I bought it day 1.


Ride or die. What's the point of resetting? Unless your map is just soooooo bad and you can't handle it. You are the mayor and can and should be able to deal with everything and enjoy the journey.


Sure I get bored sometimes but like..the beginning on acnl is the best and worst part of the game.. New is always great, but being poor, doing the slow boring parts again, being very limited, losing all the progress you had before.. So bad.


Plus it's like..why bother playing at all and progressing through the game if you're gonna keep resetting? Makes it all pointless.

Nope! Not yet. Although I did reset my second copy 2-3 times... but for my first, I didn't one time.

I reset my cycle town once lol and I reset my brothers town because he didn't play it anymore and said I could have it, so its a cycle town now, actually might have been the cycle town I reset

Not my main town, but I reset my second town about four months in bc I wasn't happy with my map, and I'd barely played it after the first few weeks anyway. That was almost a year ago, and I still love my current map but I'm strongly considering moving all my villagers out and cycling them back in (might do just my absolute favorites and replace the others) to get their houses in a different area lmao. I would just reset it again if it didn't take me so long to find the perfect map.

I'm also planning to reset my cycle town that I've hardly touched in the last ~year and make a new third town, maybe at the start of the new year

I bought a used copy, so technically yes I have. It was funny because I let my brother come in and raid everything from the previous owner's town including the clothes on his character's back. I have not reset one of my own towns yet though. I have a temporary town set up on my second copy of the game while I try to figure out what I eventually want to do with it, but I'll probably send in the bulldozers after the holidays (Now that I think about it, it would be cool if there was an animation of bulldozers destroying everyone's homes when you reset).

I've reset only once now but I am about to reset again. I only reset my first town because I had lost my cartridge for a year almost and so I bought a new one and started to do the exact same town so when I found my old card I decided to transfer some of my stuff to my other NEW town and then restarted my other one. It's so sad telling Isabelle though. </3

I haven't. However that could be due I only have been playing Animal Crossing for a month. I have grown quite attached to my slowly growing town and villagers.

Not in NL. I have played Laputa since launch. I started another town on a download of the game but then abandoned it.

I've reset so many times... I kinda regret doing that, because some of my old towns I liked, and I miss them.

I'm happy with my town now, though.

soooo maaaannnyyy tiiiiimmmeeeeesss. I can't even count on one hand how many times I've restarted my town. I think I've managed to settle down by just taking the game slower, and I have a town I'm quite happy with right now. But I wish I hadn't restarted so many times...

I reset my second file a few times before finding good starter villagers! I didn't want to have to deal with undesired villagers...

Man... I keep having the urge to reset my town. I don't even have a real reason. Except that the best part of acnl is the first few days of everything being completely new, and villagers constantly moving in and just everything being so fresh.. But then a month in the feeling will be the same.. Rinse and repeat.

The best part is... I just restarted my game of 2 years, just 2-3 weeks ago lmao. So I'm not even so far in.


I blame TTing so much, selling TBT for 15million bells, and getting so many of my fav villagers so quickly.
