Have any plans for your warp pipes?

I just came to echo @Velo about putting a warp pipe by the museum. I put my museum at the back of the map and it's so annoying to get fossils assessed and I get lazy about it.

I'm thinking that I'll probably stick to just two warp pipes so that I know for certain where I'll end up when I enter them (though I might change my mind on that later), planning on putting one of them up near the campsite, which is very close to the secret beach, and the other one close to the shops as these two places are on opposite corners of my map so it would make it easier to get between the two.

I’m probably going to make an inaccessible area that you can only access via the pipes... they look like they’ll fit perfectly with a “secret garden” type of area, or any other secluded sitting area. It’s a great addition to the game, but I’m worried about how their “aesthetic” will fit into certain areas.

Funnily enough, I was talking to a coworker about this exact topic yesterday— she said she’s going to place hers on opposite sides of her island so she doesn’t have to run back and forth as much. I thought that was pretty clever ngl

I am planning for one by my house and one by my airport. I need this shortcut more than I need anything else and I'll show my map here to illustrate why

I made my house on a little island surrounded by cliffs which I love the look of but it's very far from everything. My shops and Residents Services are both near the airpot so this would really simplify things for me when I need to sell items from my storage or grab something then run to the airport for a trade! I am so excited that these warp pipes are going to save me so much time 🤩

Well, after a rough year for me I think I'm gonna remodel my island as a fresh new start. Using the pipes, I'm thinking of making my own little private island that can only be reachable via the warp pipe. May place some mario mushrooms after I'm done remodeling.

On my old island, I would've probably used them to get to my shopping district faster? I was stupid and put them in the back of my island lol.

Unsure if I'll use them now, though. Maybe If I run out of inclines? I was debating if I wanted to use them to get to secret areas but nah they're reachable without the pipes and the pipes themselves probably would stick out like a sore thumb.

But I have two switches so who knows maybe I'll make a Mario theme'd island to go with my current Sonic one. That'd be kinda cute.

Main Island-Behind the cliff for Redd and one in each player basement.
2nd Island- One at the back of the island for the extra players, one in main player house and one at residential services.

I think I will put one in my house and one by the airport. Disguising them will be a fun challenge. It will make trades super easy and quick too.

I'm definitely going to use the warp pipe at the back of my island - I did not build a staircase or pathway for the secret beach, so it saves me having to carry the ladder around.

Gonna put my house on the fourth level and warp to it from now on

This is the big brain move I never considered --

I'm probably gonna use mine to be lazy, though.

On Muir Wood, one hidden near my house, one hidden near Redd's beach, since they're pretty much opposite corners / sides of the map, and I don't have an incline down to Redd's beach.

On Inverness, since it's still a work in progress, probably one near my house and one in my pocket / placed at whatever part of the island I'm currently working on? So it'll be easier to grab things from storage.

i think they're ugly so i don't even know if i want to use them lol. but i guess they could be really useful, so maybe i will have to reconsider

I will put one end in my crafting room. The other I will carry around I guess. Easy acsess to this room would be pretty cool.

Hearing we can using multiple to go to random locations is interesting...
My alt characters need some shortcuts to the shops and resident services lol

It'd be cool if we could customize them of 1 or 2 more colors and that way you would get teleported to the other one of the same color.

I'll probably make a tier 3 mountain area, and have the pipe as the way to the top. In the past, I avoided having such areas, because I hate using the ladder every time. But, the pipe is perfect for this. I'll probably redo my entire island, honestly. These new items seem like the perfect reason to do so.

I love the utility of warp pipes but yeah, it doesn't really go with my theme. I like some of the ideas about hiding the pipes - I was thinking a solar panel, but bushes/buildings would probably work.
I love the idea of using it for visitors to get to Nooks/Daisy Mae/villager moving away faster!

I thought about something like this, basically just put one up in every important area, but if you end up in the wrong area, it doesn't mean you'll go to the right one next time. If you get unlucky, you might just keep warping between the areas you didn't want to go to, so you'd end up just being quicker travelling normally.
