I don't understand how one can still decide to show publicly they're supporting the Harry Potter franchise when it is well known that the author is against basic human rights. I understand loving the franchise for a long amount of time and having it be a part of your childhood, even loving the original trio, but to purposefully ignore what is going on behind the scene is something I don't understand. Even the original trio stands against J.K Rowling.
Recently J.K Rowling
funded an anti-trans woman organisation, the J.K. Rowling Women’s Fund, which she plans to fund with the revenue from the new HBO show. Her influence in the UK is not negligible.
You can't separate the art from the artist, especially if she's still alive. You can't bc the artist always puts themselves into their art, their art has a direct impact onto the world around them, and the artist then has an impact onto the world due to the influence they gain from the popularity of their art.
