Happy Mother's Day! Also, did anyone get a letter from Mom?

I hope you're enjoying your Mother's Day. To all mothers and mother to be in TBT, I hope you're having a lovely day, despite the context. To those of you sharing your time with them, I hope you're enjoying your time and to those who have lost their mothers, I send all the love and support in this day; I hope you get to remember you mothers in their happiest moments.

I do wanted to know if anyone's received anything from Mother's Day. Is it a holiday in NH? I heard about the knapsack, but I've never received it. I did get a mat, but a couple of days prior to this day. I'm also unsure if there are Mother's Day celebrations in different countries (I'm sure there are), but if so, which one are we be celebrating in-game?

There's a mother's day mug that you can buy from the Nook Shopping part of the Nook Stop machine. There's a new tab. It's been available since the beginning of the month, but it's a limited time thing that goes away at the end of the month.

That's the only mother's day related thing I've seen. I did get the mom's knapsack, but I got that on May 2nd or something like that.

Nope, I didn’t get any letter from mom when it was mother’s day yesterday, I wish they would send letters in the future update like the previous games.

no, didnt get anything which makes me wonder if our dad will write us at all in this game, since from acnl the only time I remembered him writing was on fathers day (cant rmbr if he wrote you a letter on your birthday lol)

i got the mom’s knapsack last week but i didn’t get a letter from her for mother’s day ;v;

Yeah I think Nintendo nixed holiday related stuff to make us dependent on downloading the events. I have a feeling that every holiday event in this game is going to be long drawn out. That would explain why Mom sends the item really early, and why we don't have a letter for actual mothers day.

Well, it's Mother's Day in the US but not across the globe and even in Europe, Mother's Day is celebrated on different days in different countries.
The Mother's Day Mug is classified as intl (international) so maybe they don't want to send letters on a specific day.
I did get a letter from Mom with the knapsack at the beginning of the month. I think she sends one letter per month unless it's your birthday (correct me if I'm wrong).

Is anyone else a little sad we couldn't write mom a postcard for Mother's Day? Like why would she send us something (like in NL), it's her day!
