Hacked bridges/inclines PSA

Just wanted to put it out there, that if anyone is thinking of obtaining hacked bridges and inclines outside of TBT they permanently stop Redd from spawning on your island, and there is no way to fix it, at all
I know hacked stuff isn't ever really the interest of anyone on these forums, nor is it of mine, but I thought id put it out there in case anyone was thinking about risking it!

Just out of curiosity, what are those? Are they unreleased items like the wedding set was back in the day? I hope that means we are getting more types of bridges! Otherwise, I don't know why people would want those

Are they bridges that don't cross water?

I believe the hacked bridges and inclines are the same as regular ones. What they do is let you bypass the limit of 8 that's in the game.

No worries! As far as I'm aware the post only mentioned Redd, but it wouldn't surprise me if it affected alot more cos the game just isn't programmed to have more than the allowed amount? Either way I could only imagine it would corrupt your save eventually anyway

No not new bridges unfortunately, there's just a limit to a maximum of 8 bridges & inclines that you can have on your island so hackers found a way to get more in the game

Also no, I don't think they do anything special like that either, it's literally just to have more than 8.

A friend of mine saw a thread warning people about it on Twitter and she let me know! But yeah, I mean the people who tried it out ouch for sure, but that's kinda what you get for getting something that isn't supposed to be in the game

You can't use the modded incline / bridge as the first one you place or you will lose the ability of placing more
you can talk to only one Lloid, so if you place 2 inclines/bridges you will be able to talk to only one of them
paying one incline/bridge and then placing another one will make you have to pay again for the first one
NEW FACT
If you will place a lot of inclines/bridges (10+) you will permanently loose the possibility to have Redd on your island
EXPLANATION
This happens because placing inclines / bridges will edit a building slot from 0 to 27.
how will that effect redd? well, when redd is not on your island his own slot becomes 0, and when he comes to your island it becomes 28.
changing the value from 0 to 27 will prevent him from spawning, because before spawning he will check for a 0 building located in a specific place.
so, can you just delete the bridge / incline and he will spawn again? NO, because he also checks for coordinates, and positioning the bridge/incline will change the coordinates of the building slot. so, be careful with that.. you will not be able to recover it."[SPOILER/]

oh sounds like you're out of luck for that day because the game is trying to spawn the NPC and cant find a location to do so.

I think this was the case with gullivar when you drop and item on the edge of your entire beach there would be no NPC for the day instead of spawning a new one.

I would think, if you're able to hack in more bridges and inclines, you could also hack in all the art that you want, real or fake, so Redd not showing up wouldn't really affect you. Or maybe you could even hack the game and force Redd to appear if you just really wanted to see him. But maybe that's not the case. I don't hack, and I don't want to, so I don't know what all it's able to do.
