Notice anything different? Giving him ears and hair similar to the villagers from Wild World and City Folk was actually a last-minute decision, but I thought it'd be rather odd if he appeared to be bald and ear-less. Especially since I designed it so that he would have ears and hair when not wearing the hat, something that would be hard to explain beyond "It's a stylistic choice" if he didn't have either while wearing it.
