My town is only a little over a month old the grass deterioration is already looking so bad! How can I make it better and full again? :)

I read something the other day about time traveling to restore the grass and I recall it saying there was a safe way to do so without losing any villagers. Anyone know about this?

I was gonna complain about this earlier, too! The dirt is so overwhelming in my town. :( it's like being punished for playing a lot!
TTing backwards does not work, I know that much.
To improve grass growing back, you plant a lot of greenery, like flowers and trees, and try avoiding walking over that area. It works, but it's still a pain!
Good luck!

i don't mind grass deterioration, i don't notice it a lot, but i can see how it can look ugly. maybe just leave it alone for a little and tt?

As far as TT without losing villagers goes, you just wait until someone pings you to move and either accept or deny their request, then you can TT as far as you want without anyone else leaving.

Whitney just asked to move about half an hour ago and I denied her request. So you think I could TT a month ahead safely? Then I could go back to the original date with no problem?

Yes! You will not lose a villager if you TT right after you decline their request! You can also TT back with no consequeces! After all, TT back any amount only counts as 1 day!

So I just save and quit my game now, change the in-game clock and go ahead, and then come back to today's date? Lol sorry for all the questions I just want to make sure I do it perfectly without losing anyone!

Yep! Once you change the clock to one month ahead. you need to log into the game then save and quit, and then change the clock back.

I accidentally loaded my game instead of clicking the "I need help first.." to change the time ahead. Did I mess things up and have to wait for someone else to ping now? Ughhh lol

I feel you pal. My grass deterioration is pretty bad, I complained about it once on here before and UGH. I purposely walk in new directions, try not to run and I have a TON of flowers but even underneath my flowers (with watering them) my grass is gone.

I'm hoping the snow (once it comes) will cleanse my town of it!!

SaltedKaramel was right! Just wait for a day when someone pings to move and then say no, save and quit, set the clock ahead 1 month, load the game and quit, and then go back to the present day and talk to all of your villagers again. No one moved and my grass is restored!

Yep :) I use that method all the time if I've not been playing for a bit.
It's funny that people who don't want the grass deterioration get lots of it and then there's me who would love for my grass to wear down and it still looks fine :( really wanted mine to become more dirt-like for a forest type of path. Been trying a while now and not much luck

That's great! It is a handy trick.
Grass deterioration doesn't really bother me because I guess I font run around that much

I do that about once a month, and it's always worked for me :)
