Because tablets > consoles (I never had a console lol xD)
jk. but I need games k?
I'm really stuck on what games I should get for my tablet. Android or Apple - any would do (but it would be nice if you specify). I like Visual Novels, Horror, side-scrolling, Simulation, RPG, action, trivial and racing games.

I use Apple/iPad. I usually just play those match-3 type games or blackjack to pass time lol. I don't really use tablet for those types of games that you mentioned, console game play is much better. But these are the games I've tried/liked (I'm not a serious gamer so I'm not really updated on the times lol):

Zookeeper Battle - Online Match 3 game with cute avatars/prizes.
Plague Inc. - Strategy game where you have to destroy the world with your virus
Zombie Smash - Really mindless "castle-defense" type game... I love it but my game crashes a lot when it starts to get really intense, which sucks.
Walking Dead - Pretty good... basically like an interactive TV show. But you have to pay for the episodes, and I'm cheap so I stopped at some point.
Beyond Dead - Zombie killing game. Pretty fun but you have to pay for upgrades.
Montezuma 3 - My favourite match 3 game, the only one I paid for.
Pixel People - Pretty entertaining when you first start. You just build a town and fill it with people and give them jobs.
Temple Run - You just run through a temple and collect coins. Really addicting

That's what I hate about most mobile games is that you have to pay for all these upgrades and refills ._.

Sonic 1 and 2 on the IOS.
Those ports were made by the same guys who did the Sonic CD 2011 release, and they're without a doubt, the best versions of those games.
I just wished those versions get ported to consoles and PC.

World of Goo and Plants vs Zombies 1 are both excellent. I believe they are available for either platform.

I work for FreshPlanet which are the creators of SongPop! We're working on a couple of games that are going to come out pretty soon (that I can't talk about until launch) but you should keep your eyes peeled for 'em!

Also, I really like Puzzlelot, Dumb Ways to Die, and Dark Manor

There's a company called TeamLava that puts out some cute (free) simulation games. They're not the kind of games you can play for more than a few minutes at a time, though. It's more like "start baking a cake and come back in two hours to serve it and get experience points"

Chaos Rings II was pretty good for a mobile RPG. There were some heartfelt moments. GT Racing 2 is a fun racing game too. Some of the turns/tilts can be a bit tricky, but it's a great challenge.

I have an iPhone so I'll list games I've played. So its going to be Apple.

- Paid:
Minecraft
Game Dev Story (Check out all the others: Kairosoft Co.,Ltd)
A Dark Room

- Free:
CocoPPa Play (Its a social networking thing too)
No Brakes
Fantasy Adventure
Only One
Quiz Up (really addicting, need internet connection though.)

Well I probably sucked at recommendations, but that's all I got :)

I prefer the consolve version more but injustice on android and ios are just as good

You can get FF3 on mobile now and Dragonquest 8 so i'd defo reocmmend those two.

The World Ends With You
Ticket to Ride
Game Dev Story
The Sims Freeplay
Princess Punt
Tiny Towers

Those are the ones I spent the most time on.

Happy Street. You build a town with cute animals.
The Simpson's Tapped Out. You rebuild Springfield.
Touhou. You touhou.
Moe Can Change. You raise a Moe Roid.

That's basically it. I don't really play mobile games that much. I'm more of a console person.

Geometry Dash is a decent platformer. Its kinda like the impossible game. The music is REALLY great as well.Warning, prepare for an addicting adventure filled with rage :P

Bastion
Little Inferno
FTL: Faster Than Light
World of Goo
Plants vs. Zombies
Limbo
Rayman Run and it's sequal
Blek

GTA 3, vice city and San Andreas. Real racing 2 & 3 are both pretty good games from what I hear and they both look great.

Try Layton brother's Mystery room. You solve individual murder mysteries with an overall story arc about the main characters. Several of the mystery endings can actually be quite shocking and unexpected. It's quite enjoyable. :)

For Android I like to use the My Boy! GBA emulator, and then I just download some games from coolrom.com.
