Any opinions of this expression?

I hate it. Go green isn't about saving the planet, its a trend and a very good way to sell products.

I remember once on some sort of morning news show that they were showing a bamboo bike and one of the women said, "That's very green!" I immediately powered the damn thing off! You see, through these two simple words people can make some cash!

Global warming? Yeah, right.

It depends. Sometimes they sell green things for like five bucks a notebook. But there are people out there that do it for the cause.

I think the concept itself is good, but too often it turns into, "Instead of using dihexagonalmonclerium in the product, we used water, therefore producing 6 ounces less CO2 over the products life!"

Meaningful environmental policies are always much more beneficial to the environment than gimmicky products.

aww yeah.

the lightbulb topic that bacon boy posted yesterday is a great example of the reach/force that the go green "movement" has. I think that if you can save electricity, you should, but i guess that does come down to your own personal opinion.

whatever.

my hard drive is apparently a "green" one, but my power supply is a hog. lool @ my computer being contradictory

Same. I kinda negated the green hardrive with a 600 watt power source I installed.

mine's something odd like a 630 watt or something.

I really should've taken the time to look into what i actually needed, first. :(

A 600w was necessary for me, because I've got a pretty powerful graphics card.
I could've gotten away with a 500W at bare minimum, but I don't want to overtax my system.

Nah ah, it's not global warming anymore, it's Global Climate Disruption. It's mainly a cop-out. I mean, I understand wanting to keep the earth in good shape, but some people take it to that whole "save the trees, screw the people" stereotype.

And no, I can't stand "going green".
No one's asking you to kill kids, just think responsibly when using resources.

I agree with Pear, it certainly has turned into a bit of a gimmick.

But I believe environmentally friendly policies are imperative.
People will be a lot more screwed over if we run out of resources and are regularly exposed to toxic chemicals than if they try to live in a more ecologically friendly way. ^w^

No, I'm just frustrated that people have no problem with abortion, but they're freaking out every time a tree gets cut down. (But we shouldn't turn this thread into an abortion debate :P )

Strange, thats the topic we're talking about in RE: "How does Global Warming affect abortion rates?"

@Topic:Going Green is good, well it used to be good, but now it has gone sour...Oil prices are getting higher and Shops are taking advantage of Global Warming: By rasing the prices on anything that is good for the environment.

What's wrong with abortions? (No, I don't freak out if one tree gets cut down, I need toilet paper, you know)
