Hey!
As you may read in my signature, i'm looking for a Original Shep the Smug Dog as a new Villager i think that going to be easy, considering i'm offering a Original Marshal or other stuff.

Anyway... The thing is that it seems less people keep playing New Leaf, cause the Trading Villager is harder these days.

Maybe i'm just impatient, but it feels like is harder to find out a Villager you want even with the Amiibo Cards (considering this ones are harder to find now too).

Do you have trouble finding out a Villager?

I've been trying to get Bangle forever. I have a ton of amiibo cards but none of them are the ones I want. Plus Bangle is a series one amiibo card so those are harder to get now. Good luck getting Shep though!:)

I never have trouble finding an amiibo card.

I would never adopt from here again. :-/

I wouldn't adopt at all.

Thanks for the luck!

Why you don't want to adopt fro here again Jon?

Yeah I've noticed the decline in players who cycle villagers. I'm worried that there's going to be barely anyone who plays this game anymore.

If it helps, I just bought the game a few weeks ago....so I'm just starting out with it. 😁

I knew getting Teddy could be harder... He's not a requested Villager.

Hmmm, I could have sworn that I vmed about Shep, but that was during the system glitching, so who knows.

I think getting an original villager is always going to be hard. It's hard to control what happens to a villager. I once had a villager just barely move in, and already he's wearing a different shirt. Ugh.

I have a lot of Amiibo cards, and I try my best to help others get villagers. Unfortunately, I haven't always had the best experience. I do it for free, so maybe that's my fault, but people end up taking advantage of me. There was someone that wanted 2 villagers. Okay, great, I'll move one in then cycle him out with the newbie. Simple, right? Wrong. He lost the first villager because he wouldn't move into the right spot. Then he wouldn't pick up his villager. Listen, I understand it's a game and we're all busy. But you don't request villagers and not pick them up. I just got really annoyed. After I told him I'd like to finish our trades quickly, he got pissed and never responded. Whatever, I kicked out his villager and moved my own dreamies in.

It's not easy cycling villagers in and out. I think because of this experience, I have been hesitant to help people get their dreamies. I know it's just one experience, but this dragged on for literally 2 weeks.

I usually don?t have too much trouble. I hate buying amiibo cards ( I just can?t justify spending the money on them). I do have a few but none of villagers that I personally like. Most of these cards I received as gifts. I usually just wait around in the villager trading boards and offer tbt , or try to catch the cyclers when they have boards up. This usually takes 1-2 days for someone to get back to me and let me adopt <3
I?ve gotten all my dreamies like this. And considering that we?re very undesirable I felt like I might never see them. I?m not too picky though and I don?t mind whether they were original or not. I end up customizing them anyways so it?s no bother to me that they might be 0% original ( though surprisingly almost all of them I got 100% original).

With the amiibo cards its harder to find naturally occurring villagers for adoption that's for sure, but I know some people with the cards do adoption services. But I can see with like what ElderPops said, that it can force good people doing the adopting services to bow out after having moochers and people who don't want to actually go through or want it and then change their minds yadda yadda. If I had the time, and an empty town I would help everyone get their dreamies because I have a nearly complete set of the cards and would like to give back. But sadly with my job and life I don't have the time. I have actually been on a hiatus from my ACNL for a few months now since life has been kind of hectic, but I hope to get back into it soon!

Do you think it'll be difficult to get someone with a full town to clear Eloise from the void, once I decide to part with her?

Not really? Just ask someone who can take the time to do so. Also try the animal crossing chat of the TBT discord, it's somewhat more active than the forum sometimes.
