gender ratio?

I have three males and seven females. Definitely didn't plan it that way! Most of the initial villagers that automatically moved in were female. Since then I've taken more male villagers on hunts. That really wasn't purposeful either but by the end I'm hoping for more or a mix!
 
Mine is 7:3, with more males.
I was originally planning on going half male, half female, or more females, but apparently I really like lazies. Also, I don't have any uchis, peppies, or jocks, which probably has some effect on this.

Male: Raymond, Marshal, Tom, Punchy, Bones, Wolfgang, Dobie

Female: Whitney, Skye, Kiki
 
I have more female than male 6:4! I like this ratio, and in terms of personality I really like normal and cranky 😅
 
I currently have 6 female villagers and 4 male. I could see in the future having more female villagers, (7 to 3 or maybe even 8 to 2) because I seem to really enjoy the peppy and uchi villagers and their designs.

I like the lazies, more in Japanese than in English, but I don’t find there are as many characters where I feel they are must have for me. Not a big fan of the cranky type, though I love Kabuki, so when he eventually moves on I will probably not get another.

The only reason I would get another jock would be for Genji to have a work out buddy, but don’t know if I can take watching even more working out! The fitness hobby is my least favorite
 
I have 5 male and 5 female villagers. This is gender equality 💪 😜
I wanted at least one of each personality, then I have 2 Crankies and 2 Normals.
If personalities weren't tied with gender maybe the ratio on my island would be different..!
 
I've got 8 Females, 2 Males.
Antonio and Erik are surrounded by ladies.
I know i'll have to get other males eventually for the personalitys Emotes/Diy
But i'm so happy with my group, as is, i dont wanna xD
 
I have 6 females and 4 males. There are a lot of normal and peppy villagers I like so I assume I will usually be at 6-4 or maybe even 7-3.
 
7-3 (more males) because i don't like the uchii type designs enough.
my fav are lazy and smug, my extra cranky was coincidental cuz i like cats lol (tom <3)
i would love to balance the the genders a bit but im too attached to see anyone go.

If they gave us more plots i would invite mostly females
 
It's 5 male 5 female. Tangy just moved in today to fill up the female ratio. And I'm glad it was Tangy. I have all the personalities. But I have two cranky and two peppy.
 
My town has a gender ratio of 1:1. I have one of each personality and an extra normal and smug villager. This wasn't my original intention but I'm perfectly fine with it :)
 
I love the design of ALL cranky and smug villagers! I had 4 cranky villager on my island at one point... right now my male to female ration is 7:3. Although, I might be getting more peppy villagers because I feel in love with Piper's personality!
 
never expected to get this many replies so im gonna reply as a whole. yay, glad im generally not alone in the ratio differences thing. and yes, i rly do wish we had a few more plots bc then i’d be able to invite pretty much most or all females for the remaining plots bc rn i can’t let any of my guys go due to attachment. :( didn’t plan it to be balanced but i noticed the pattern and started to bug me a little.
 
I try to have one of every personality type, but right now i have 4 males (Shep, Kabuki, Curly, Jacques) & 6 females (Merry, Tia, Alli, Melba, Anabelle, Agnes) currently missing a lazy villager ever since I let zucker leave.
