Game wont stop saving ;O;

My game wont stop saving! Its been a little over a half hour now and its still going!!! I tried googling around to figure out what might be wrong and have only gotten reaults for people who have had it do this for a much shorter amount of time
Im totally devastated and have no idea what to do

That is so bizzare! Maybe try plugging it in, or putting it in sleep mode for a little while?

I got it plugged in but i havent tried putting it in sleep mode yet. I'll do that now and see it it helps

I hope this never happens to me. ;_; I've accidentally turned off my game without saving and I have had it lag a bit sometimes when saving, but not that long. So what I do now is save and continue after any major important stuff I did like catch a rare bug, unlock a new pwp just to make sure.

My guess is maybe your Internet connection is affecting the game and making it lag? Try turning off wifi (if it is on).

I hope you didn't lose any important progress if you decided to just shut off the game.

I've only had this problem happen before on Club Tortimer so far. My solution for that was to turn off my Wi-fi. I have no idea if this is related since you didn't specify if the game is also using the internet while saving.

Did this issue happened while you were online with the game? Like did you visited Club Tortimer, used the
Dream Suite or played with another person? Or offline, like when you wanted to end the game? Because
if it's online, try to turn off your Wi-Fi. If it's offline, maybe try to turn off your DS? I only had this issue
while I used Club Tortimer a long time ago, that the saving progress also took way to long and worked
afterwards when I cut my internet connection. I hope your game is fine.

sorry for not replying to anybody! i let my game sit on the saving screen for a full 24 hours before giving up and turning it off. turns out, my ds stopped working
i was so upset and worried about whether or not my town corrupted that i couldn't bring myself to get back on tbt.

thankfully a friend is letting me use her ds and my town somehow survived!!!

Oh, thank goodness, what a relief. I know that feeling of losing saved data, but it's even worse when you've worked on it for longer, like building a town in your image of perfect. I don't think I'd want to do it all again either.

Unfortunately that means you can't send it in to Nintendo themself as they no longer provide factory repair to both the original 3DS or original 3DS XL models. I'd say the best thing is to have a in store provider just see what the issue would be. From what you've said my guess is that it's a corrupted save file. You know when the game is "By all means possible do not turn off while saving" That's basically what occurs, but a professional will give you better information.

Yay! I am so happy for you that your town is not corrupted! I know the sinking feeling when you power on your game hoping it is not corrupted.
