for a second, i thought Dom was asking to visit my house....

If they ever added that mechanic in, I would need a peephole or a doorbell because I didn't enjoy them waltzing in like it's nobody's business. Actually that would be kind of scary to look through a peephole and see the villager in the fisheye perspective. Like at night.

I'm glad they can't randomly barge in anymore.

It would be nice to have invitations though, but then again, the reason we don't get invited like we did in NL is because (IMO) there are so few items in this game, that nothing is worth buying that we haven't already (cringe) crafted.

I'm going to be the odd one out and say that I don't miss that feature at all.
It was annoying being asked all the tine about visits and having to remember them. Besides, they didnt do anything interesting. All they did is walking around your room aimlessly.

I wouldn't be entirely opposed to the reintroduction of house visits, but I could do without the scheduled ones! I never remembered on time and always felt kinda bad afterwards. the random pop ins were okay, but I actually quite liked the in the moment house visits!

Kinda tricky for villagers to follow you to your house way up there haha.
Technically, the villagers already demonstrate how they can teleport, though. Surround a villager's house with water or cliffs and sometimes when you enter then exit a building, they will be on the other side of the island.

If animals can already do that, then there's nothing stopping them from breaking logic again to teleport into your house.

i feel like most of us would like it back, even though it could get annoying back then because it was too frequent. lol.

the thing is if they didn’t remove it, it would have been less frequent tbh like how the villager requests rarely even happens anymore. so i don’t think it would have been annoying. and for those who never liked it, we’re not forced anyway. i cancel the plans or say i can’t if i’m really busy.
